Guillia put a great self-drive tour together for us and Susana looked after us as we travelled.
(Even when we got lost)
The car and accommodation was good and the guides patient and informative.
Only issue we had was parking in small villages, garages, and cities.

Tirana: Wanna dive into Albania’s past? Then you need visit Bunk’Art – a massive underground bunker turned museum. It was once built to protect leaders from nuclear attacks. And now it tells the story of Albania’s communist era with art, history (and even a few surprises!). Explore eerie tunnels, snap some pics, and experience a slice of Cold War history you won’t find anywhere else.
Himarë: It's a free beach day! Spend it away relaxing on the golden beaches. Take a dip in the sparkling sea. The local beach clubs here will defo pique your interest too...
Porto Palermo Bay: Castles by the sea are always gorgeous. But Porto Palermo is a treasure box of natural beauty. You've got some to explore the island & see the fortress of Ali Pash Tepelena AKA Lio of Yannina.
Himarë: Today’s your chance to witness a magical Iso-Polyphony performance - Albanian folk music that used to be sung in weddings, funerals & harvest festivals (and is included in UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage!). It’s a tradition that traces back to almost 2600 years, but is sadly disappearing with time. Every penny we spend here will help preserve this beautiful piece of culture.
Fishtë: Welcome to Mrizi i Zanave. Here, you'll have the chance to learn about sustainable farming. Then, we'll top it off with a wholesome organic lunch where the waiters will tell you where each local ingredient comes from. Seriously. It's so good, even Dua Lipa has visited this place!

This trip was amazing and it was a good balance of beaches and mountains. There were also a lot of things included such as farm dinners which was nice compared to past trips I’ve been on. We also stayed in hotels this trip and all of the hotels were exceptional. I think this was the best way to get around Albania, which is up and coming and see what the country has to offer. Also going into Kosovo was a plus because I would have never went there and if it wasn’t for this Contiki and even though we were only there for a couple hours, the capital is really nice and charming. It was above my expectations and I would definitely do this trip again.

Everyone i talked to on the trip said this was the best contiki theyve done. This tour is worser for nightlife and party vibes but perfect for relaxing beach vibes.
