Albania 8-Day Tours and Trips

So many 'oh wow' moments as I was riding through Albania. Beautiful country to cycle through with the first half of the trip more rural, snow capped mountains, lakes, gorges, warm friendly locals giving you a wave as you them passed by, through to the second half of the trip being more coastal, spectacular views of the Albanian Riviera across to Corfu, pretty coastal towns and the stunning blues of the Mediterranean Sea. Albania is definitely not flat but each day was different and equally enjoyable. The quality of the food was a real delight - delicious!

The holiday starts with a long travel day which includes an interesting ferry ride, then a shortish walk. Two days of longer walks in spectacular scenery, then the biggest day over a high pass into another valley - by this time we are prepared, even in temperatures in the high 30s. Then two easier days full of interest. First hotel is great, the second is a simpler guesthouse involving sharing rooms with one or two people - but by then we all knew each other. The only down side was a huge traffic jam between Shkoder and Tirana on the way back, but we still had time to enjoy the capital.

My first Exodus trip and already planning more. A well organised trip to a beautiful, unspoilt country. Yes, the cycling was tough at times with some long climbs but the roads were not busy, the Albanian drivers very considerate of cyclists and my travelling companions very supportive.

The trip was great! It was the first trip so it was really great to experience that and provide feedback so future travellers can have as good a time as we did! Good balance of free time and included/paid add ons. The two included dinners were brilliant, delicious and beautiful venues. Lots of beaches so if you love the beach then this is for you. The peaks were magnificent (and slightly cooler) with the hike being a highlight. Our ground team were brilliant, friendly and so knowledgable. Would highly recommend!

Long a mystery Albania is an undiscovered marvel only a short flight from home. Scenery is stunning and varied with snowcapped panorma's, ancient towns and unspoilt coast. Cycling on quiet roads is a joy, with a real sense of discovery round every corner.

This was a trip that surpassed my expectations. I am not terribly athletic and i was concerned about the cycling but in the end I managed well and the bus was there to help at the hardest bits....It combined stunning scenery, fascinating history, a friendly group that gelled together under the care of exemplary guides.
