Albania Tours in September 2025

This was an amazing week with a well-balanced mix of beautiful hikes and cultural exploration. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking, with rugged mountains, remote valleys and crystal-clear rivers. The hiking trails take you through some of the most pristine nature I've ever seen, with stunning views around every corner. The itinerary included visits to traditional Albanian villages where we had the chance to interact with the locals, learn about their culture, and enjoy delicious local food. Our guide, Dorien, knew the region inside out and was always eager to share stories about the history and culture of Albania. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of spectacular :)

An incredible trip with great people across beautiful scenery, in particular the mountain areas. Dhimitri our guide was fantastic (very good dry sense of humour) and Visi provided excellent vehicle/ logitics support. Literally, I cannot think of one thing to fault either of them, their organisational skills were 1st class.

Beautiful unspoilt mountains. A nice cohesive group and excellent leader in Albi. It was the first time he had led an Explore group and did a really good job.

A very interesting and enjoyable tour. The driver was excellent on some rather hair raising roads. There was so much to see I would have liked a little more time.

Our leader Albi was amazing. Very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Was fun to be with. He had lots of stories and legends. Albi took good care of us and made it a unique experience. One very minor thing…He should look behind back to make sure that everyone is keeping up with the group. Once or twice people were well behind.

A very good trip to a spectacular and relatively unknown mountain region. Very much geared to walking, but the ferry trip across Lake Komani is truly spectacular. Tour leader was excellent, transport arrangements worked well and food was excellent and plentiful. Accommodation was generally good, although a little basic in the mountain region itself. Overall very good value for money.
