Goodness what to say?! Had lots of expectations as I’ve been trying to get to Bhutan since Covid took over and had amazing time!! One of quietest countries I’ve visited but they shared my love of karaoke! So much nature, beautiful views, some times too much nature (my allergies went wild) but it was great time, lovely people, very welcoming, loved telling them about London & Peckham. Rishi was the ideal guide: patient, attentive, and always prioritizing our safety. The Sherpa team set a steady, manageable pace and showed remarkable patience throughout. The cook and his team were outstanding, providing plenty of healthy, delicious, and safe meals regardless of the conditions. The porters were exceptional too, handling camp setup and pack-down in challenging weather with professionalism and care.
The only downside? The two long travel days to reach the trailhead—but the breathtaking scenery and warm, welcoming people made it absolutely worth it.
