Each day brought new adventures and challenges, with the highlight being the sunrise hike to Poon Hill, where we were treated to panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges bathed in golden light.

I just finished a customized extended 19 day trek around Manaslu. My local guide Tsiring used his extraordinary familiarity with the area to include two overnight home-stays and five days of hiking on unique trails away from the standard route around the mountain.
Just completed the Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri, Cho-La and EBC treks with this local travel expert and had an unforgettable experience. Our guide (Rinji) and porter (also Rinji !!) were incredibly flexible in helping us make the impossible, possible - whilst always looking out for our health and wellbeing. Trekking through Upper Mustang was one of the best experiences of my life. The landscapes were the most breathtaking I’ve ever seen, and the cultural experience—monasteries, villages, and local traditions—was unforgettable.
My guide, Rammesh, was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable, caring, and made the trek feel smooth, safe, and deeply meaningful. I can’t imagine a better guide.
Going valley in the morning over 4000m was severe coldness in winter because no sunshine due to surrounding mountains and wind. (Dingboche to Lobche)
It might be better to add 1 more layer, considering the weather.
Since a bit earlier than year end holiday, I could spend more quiet time.
On the way to back, I met more people who were going up.
Mr Bibek, the guide was knowledgeable and explained the mountains.
He was good advisor also for health conditions but you should know yourself first.

This 16-day trek through the Himalayas, without reaching Everest Base Camp, is a journey filled with breathtaking landscapes and rewarding physical challenge. With stunning mountain views and varied terrain, it’s a memorable experience for those ready to face the altitude and enjoy the natural beauty of the region.
The Trek was excellent - the scenery was fantastic with the clear weather in mid-October. The trekking was sometimes challenging, but never too hard for fairly fit "almost-60-year-olds". The views of Everest and its surrounding peaks, especially from Tengboche Monastery, were fantastic. If you don't feel the need, or have the time, to go all the way to Everest Base Camp, this is the trek to take!
