The trip begins with a three-day trip to the exotic canals of Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean coast, the key nesting ground for endangered sea turtles between the months of July and October. The rivers within the park are also home to sensitive populations of manatees as well as caimans, crocodiles and tropical gar, which is considered a living fossil. The rainforest is home to jaguars, three-toed sloths and three of Costa Rica's four species of monkey: spider monkey, mantled howler and the white-headed capuchin. Basilisk lizards and poisonous frogs also inhabit the area, along with 375 species of birds including kingfishers, toucans, blue herons, peacocks and parrots.
Then, we have an adventure to La Fortuna, the closest town to the stunning Arenal Volcano. See the volcano from different angles, while bathing in the hot springs, hiking to the base of the massive La Fortuna Waterfall or visiting the amazing hanging bridges. There is so much to see and do here!

The timing, the excursions and activities, the restaurants, accommodations and travels were all so amazing, and there was never a dull moment. No wait I take that back. The dull moments is when we went to bed. I never wanted the day to end and I never wanted this trip to end. From the ceo to the new friends I made in our group, it was absolutely amazing. The wildlife, the beaches, the food, the parties, the home stay, I can’t even get started on the home stay. What a wholesome moment. The families were so sweet and welcoming.

It’s been my dream to visit the Amazon rainforest since I was 10 years old, and this tour truly didn’t disappoint! From the friendliest staff & guides who all went above and beyond to please me, to the magnificent nature and wildlife all around, it was everything I hoped it would be, and more!
Accommodation: Clean and comfortable en-suite rooms, with mosquito nets so you don’t have to bring your own. It’s surrounded by beautiful nature so provides the ideal Amazonian experience (eg don’t expect a 5 star hotel on a trip like this!) The communal area is lovely, with hammocks perfect for relaxing or reading a book. There are plenty of beautiful trails around the lodge to walk around in your free time too.
Activities: The activities were SO much fun! I saw so many different types of animals and insects, and the guides were so knowledgeable and passionate which was contagious! I learnt so much and feel much more connected to nature after my trip. The sun set tower, zip line and adventure course are a bit sketchy, and quite basic but do the job and if you like adrenaline and aren’t a health & safety freak, you’ll love it (like me!). The parrot clay lick is from afar so you don’t get to see the parrots up close (you need binoculars) and it’s not always that they lick the clay, but you’ll for sure see 100’s flying round - just to manage expectations. All the activities provided a unique view and experience of the Amazon - I highly recommend this itinerary. We didn’t have a campfire sadly, and I was hoping for more Amazon legends stories told. You’ll need to be flexible with the itinerary as it’s best to capitalise on when the weather is good for the activities - eg we finished all our activities on day 3, so day 4 i just chilled on the hammocks and went for a walk on my own (went on the canopy & sunset tower again as they were such peaceful areas) which I enjoyed after the busy few days!
Food: The food was always plenty and definitely made with love ❤️
Communication: It was super easy to contact Lucho via whatsapp! He responds quickly, and makes sure that the schedule all runs on time.
I highly recommend this experience!

Four Days in Osa Peninsula: Corcovado National Park

Visit the beautiful South Pacific coast of Costa Rica during this four-day, self-guided trip. This particular region of the country is home to more than three percent of Costa Rica's biodiversity. A shuttle transfer will be arranged from one of the following destinations on the first day of the tour: San Jose, Jaco Beach, Manuel Antonio Beach or Dominical Beach. Travel to Sierpe, where you will take a boat to your hotel located in Drake Bay.
Explore Corcovado National Park, the main natural attraction of Osa Peninsula, and enjoy the rich biodiversity that the area has to offer. For your information, this national park has one of the largest population of scarlet macaws in Costa Rica.
Enjoy a boat tour to Cano Island and snorkel around its water. This island is currently a natural reserve and a great destination for those interested in snorkeling and observing marine wildlife, but used to be a pre-Columbian cemetery in the past.
