Over five days, you’ll immerse yourself in the lush jungle, guided by local experts who reveal both the secrets of the forest and the lives of those who depend on it.

Your journey begins with a pickup at Manaus Airport and a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Then, travel by road and boat to your jungle lodge—your base for three nights of hands-on activities. Try your hand at piranha fishing, embark on night expeditions, watch playful pink dolphins, and glide through flooded forests by canoe. Guided hikes offer a close look at Amazonian flora and fauna, while local guides share insights into traditional survival techniques and the medicinal plants used by native communities.

The experience is elevated by meaningful cultural exchanges, introducing you to the people whose lives are intertwined with the forest. With COVID-19 safety protocols in place, you can enjoy this trip with peace of mind.

day 1 - Manaus arrival

Meet your guide at the airport in Manaus and transfer to your hotel in the city. You are free for the rest of the day. Explore the city on your own if you want to.

day 2 - Manaus - jungle lodge

Leave the capital of the Amazon at approximately 8:00 am in the morning and head for the Port of Ceasa. A speedboat will take you from the port to Vila do Careiro. Visit the Encontro das Aguas, where the Black River encounters Rio Solimoes, forming a natural water barrier.

You will travel by road from Careiro to Mamori, followed by another fluvial transport to reach your jungle lodge at around noontime (the duration of this trip is approximately 3 hours). Enjoy your lunch upon arrival and take some rest.

Head for a hike through the jungle with your native guide. See a variety of animals and birds found in the jungle. Try your hands at piranha fishing next and canoe through an igapo (a flooded forest). Watch sunset and return to your lodge where the dinner will be served.

Its time for another canoe ride through the jungle after the dinner is over. Jump into the canoes with your guides and go alligator spotting. Return to the lodge once the trip is over.

day 3 - Exploring Amazon Forest and Rivers

We will wake up early for a motorized canoe trip to watch the sunrise and observe the beautiful morning flight of birds. After the sunrise, we will return to the hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, we will have the following activities:

Jungle walk with a specialized guide.

Instructions on survival techniques in the Amazon jungle and identification of some edible plants.

Learning about the variety of medicinal plants in the Amazon.

We will return to the hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon, around 15:00, we will head out for some activities around Tracajá Lake:

Paddle canoe trip for bird watching.

Observation of the Amazonian Fauna and Flora.

There is a possibility of spotting sloths and howler monkeys.

Dinner will be served at 19:00. After dinner, our guide will lead us on a motorized canoe trip for observing nocturnal animals, including alligator spotting.

day 4 - Imersion in Amazon Culture

After breakfast, we will proceed to our morning tour:

Visit the house of caboclos (locals) to learn about their customs, culture, and subsistence methods.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will depart in a motorized canoe to fish for piranhas near Tracajá Lake. At dusk, we will return to the lodge hotel. Dinner will be served at 19:00.

day 5 - Transfer to Manaus

Breakfast served at 08:00. The departure for Manaus can be in the morning or after lunch.

Depending on the itinerary, there is a possibility of an additional tour in the morning.
