Initially before booking the trip I thought it was extremely overpriced.
However(our tour guide) was fantastic. He made the trip worth every penny and was extremely organised and knowledgeable. The locations were great, and the activities were really cool.
was a fantastic character, and became a friend by ensuring we all had fun. He looked after and catered for everyone’s needs and requirements, promoting safety above all else, and more than once went the extra mile to ensure we all had a great time (joining myself at CrossFit and his traditional dance moves were personal highlights).
I hope he gets the recognition he deserves, as I would love to book a similar trip with Contiki in future because of this great experience.
I would also recommend that you include huacachina in future - I went there on my own and it was one of the coolest experiences - maybe this could be added as an extra at the beginning of the trip.

We were very pleased with the professionalism of LimaTours. From putting a customised itinerary for us, advising us on activities appealing for the kids to the actual tour delivery. The attention to detail and high-level expertise of the tour guides made a difference in ensuring our trip was a success. Our guide Oscar Medina went beyond the expected showing our children the highlights of each place from a perspective relevant to their age. He was enthusiastic and very friendly. As part of the tour, we went to Sacsayhuaman, visited the community of Huilloc and participated in a workshop on local art making which the whole family enjoyed. We also visited the main landmarks as the Coricancha and the San Pedro market where the family heard stories and the kids found treasures to take with them back home to Dubai. A trip to remember. We will surely be back again. We definitely recommend Limatours for a top quality experience.

I will use Gluxe again.
My main criticism was the food. For most meals at restaurants we were offered a special tourist menu - this usually was made up of ceviche or quinoa soup for starters; quinoa salad or lomos saltados for main. On a 16 night itinerary with lunch and dinner included this became very dull and spoilt the holiday. In the end we began to insist on ordering off the full menu. We were quite happy to pay the whole thing ourselves. We cancelled our last night meal as we could not face yet another no choice menu of the same things.
Most of the restaurants had a tourist feel to them, offering the same dishes to various groups of tourists. This was the major disappointment of an. otherwise very special trip.

(Daniel). Such varied culture, food and scenery too. I felt like I learned
and saw a lot. My one recommendation would be to make sure you read the trip
notes carefully before you go / book. You cover a lot of ground (long
distances) at times in order to and pack everything in. So there are some
long travel days and plenty of early starts. Loved it.

Very professional services, excellent guides and with a lot of patience. All the operators of the agency are very attentive.
Despite all the bad circumstances of our trip, starting with the accident at the Lima airport that caused it to be closed for two days, they took very good care of us upon our arrival and then the closure of roads due to a national strike of carriers in the same week, they did everything they could to keep us safe and to at least be able to meet what they could after we missed many tours of our original itinerary. In the worst trip we've had in our lives, the agency did everything in its power to lessen the bad experience. I highly recommend them, I suppose that under normal circumstances, they must exceed the expectations of the tourist.

This was my first time in South America, and honestly, this tour was everything I hoped it would be and more. I was a bit nervous doing it solo but the small group setup made it super easy to meet people. The itinerary was well-balanced between structured tours and free time.
Cartagena was absolutely beautiful like stepping into a painting. The Coffee Triangle was a surprising.. got to try some of the freshest coffee I’ve ever had.
Bogota cooler, more urban. The views from Monserrate were incredible. Then we flew to Peru, and Machu Picchu... I still don’t have words. It was emotional. The guides were amazing and knew so much history.
Lake Titicaca was peaceful and surreal. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who loves a mix of nature, history, and culture. Take altitude sickness seriously, though — drink the coca tea!
