The Upper Mustang trek leads you into the hidden kingdom of Mustang, also called Lo. The ultimate destination of this trek is Lo-Manthang, the capital of Upper Mustang. This medieval town is surrounded by a huge wall, and it not only offers its visitors beautiful views of the rugged landscape but also allows them to observe the Tibetan Buddhist culture that has been practiced in this region since many centuries ago.
In and around Lo-Manthang, hikers can discover ancient monasteries, Mani walls, Buddhist shrines, Gompas and Mandalas. Lo used to be a part of the Tibetan empire and you will see houses built in the Tibetan style with white washed walls.
Mustang is an arid, treeless land of monasteries. The best season is March to October, although Upper Mustang is in the rain shadow region of Nepal, meaning trekkers can also visit during the monsoon season. Several years ago, trekking used to be organized as camping or tenting treks. Now, the area is developing simple tea houses.
I went solo in low season (Jan) and it was amazing! It was cold at night, but i had the trail and all of the lodges to myself. That's how I like it. If you prefer a more solitary experience, this is the time to do it. Also, blue skies the entire time. I did 12 days that included Poon Hill and Anapurna Base Camp. Ramesh was my guide and he was the best! He really knows his stuff took care of everything. Such a great person too. I had been wanting to do this for 20 years and I was not disappointed. Seriously the trip of a lifetime. This outfit was recommended to me by word-of-mouth, and I'm telling everyone who will listen to come to Nepal and get into the mountains with these guys!

We embarked on a remarkable two-week journey to Nepal, expertly organized by Mr. Gokul of this tour company. Despite some last-minute changes on our part, he remained incredibly accommodating and patient throughout. We were thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the accommodations, tours, and activities he arranged for us.
Exploring Kathmandu with our knowledgeable tour guide, Siri, was an enriching experience. His insights into the city's vibrant history added depth to our exploration.
Our short but amazing flight to Pokhara was nothing short of unforgettable, thanks to the breathtaking views of mountains and valleys along the way. Mr. Kumar & Botie ( not sure the spelling) were exceptional skills ensured our safety, and the delicious food we enjoyed during the journey, especially the Dal Bhat, left a lasting impression.
Our stay in Pokhara was equally pleasant, with a well-located hotel providing easy access to shops, the lakeside, and various dining options. Exploring temples and cruising on Fewa Lake added to the charm of our visit.
However, the pinnacle of our trip was undoubtedly the journey to Annapurna Base Camp. The awe-inspiring landscapes and towering mountains along the route left us spellbound. Mr. Kumar, our experienced trekking guide, played a crucial role in making this leg of our journey truly unforgettable, sharing his expertise on the mountains, trekking routes, and religious sites.

A wonderfully guided trek in a beautiful country. The variety of landscape, fauna and flora amazing. lovely tea house. my guide and porter looked after extremely well. took account of my abilities and checked my breathing was ok as we went on. The timing of starting out was perfect and we were the first people on the Thorang La to see the sunrise. He took account of my wishes and consulted me on the walk each day. I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience.
Our recent trip to Nepal was incredible. This would not have been possible without the head office team led by Prem Khatry. As CEO and founder, Prem is both an entrepreneur and compassionate community leader. His team's attention to detail was key to our trip. Upon our initial visit with him in Nepal he assessed our needs and quickly suggested we do the ultralight flight in Pokhara, which of course, we knew nothing about - and it turned out to a major highlight of our Nepal visit. Our pick for guide of the year - is the guide that truly made our entire trip special - Dill Tamang. Having been involved in this sector for many years his immense knowledge flows out of him as you walk through magical Nepal with your mouth wide open. Dill, who himself was born in a remote village in Nepal showed us the incredible beauty of Nepal in so many ways. He understood us within the first day. A highlight was Dill searching out the Guru Rinpoche Cave for us even though it was not on the original tour - he made it happen.
