Our driver/guide Carlo took very good care of us, told us informative and amusing stories along the way and took us to wonderful restaurants. He made sure all our needs our taken cared of. This tour is fantastic as a history lesson on Sicily and how it has struggled to maintain a self of identity while being dominated by so many different cultures. I loved the sights that we saw on the different parts of the island - the Greek, Norman, Roman architecture all blending together is stunning!!
I wish I had really thought through the driving times that are listed on the itinerary. Being on a full tour bus for 3-4 hours many times as we drove from one part of the island to another, was uncomfortable. Coupled with long travel days at the beginning/ending of the trip, my back and leg muscles were very cramped up.
Collette does a great job of finding EXCELLENT local experts, each person was well informed and also able to interact with large groups. Our tour manager was fun, knowledgeable, and handled all of our logistics seamlessly! Kudos to Christian !!
This trip was our 2nd tour with Collette and we are planning on using their program again when we set up our next adventure!

Christina organized a fantastic first class itinerary for a 28 day tour of Italy by my wife and me. She was very personable and generous with her time and very knowledgeable of the areas we visited. The trip included incredible private tours with top notch guides and smooth transfers all the way. Any minor glitches were handled promptly and professionally. The Hotel were ok but did not cater to the tourist. The rooms did not have the use of the fans and found the air stagnant. A little air moving would helped.
The Hotel in Sicily in Jiardini Naxos, Caeser palace, found the hotel desk determinitly unhelpful.
