We learned about the history of the people and sites. The ancient and current use of the geothermal areas, even eating food cooked in the hot pools was memorable.
We rode on 6 different boats in beautiful waterways, seeing native plants and vegetation as well as animal species. The water was glacier blue, clean and clear. Staying in the same hotel for 2 nights in a row, not having to have our bags out early every morning was a treat. We traveled in Land Rovers in the hillsides and rivers of the south NZ island. I loved the Mrs Jones fruit stand stop on the way to the picturesque Milford Sound.
Tourists were well received and cared for at all locations.
I wished we had more time in Auckland and the north island of NZ.
Australia had its own wonderful flavor of living. It was great to experience it as well.

A fantastic trip to a beautiful country. Particularly enjoyed the active components (hiking, biking, kayaking) with an up close view of the flora and landscapes. The CEO was knowledgeable, resourceful, and very pleasant. Despite the long bus rides, seeing so much of the country was an advantage. The population was friendly, gracious and adventuresome. Overall expectations were exceeded.

The accommodation, the tour leader and the driver were very good. Interactions with indigenous people was a highlight as was the visits to spectacular places in Kakadu’s, Jabiru and the gorges.
The tour director was articulate and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave all tour participants access to understanding aspects of country, indigenous care of country understandable and indigenous culture and this made the tour for me, an excellent life experience.
Accomodation was in the main excellent, especially in Jabiru.
Thank you Top End Highlights.

Me and my sister traveled to Australia togrther. We had been talking about going to Australia for years, and when we finally found this tour, it felt like the perfect fit. It had all the major places we wanted to see Sydney, Cairns, the Great Barrier Reef.
Sydney was amazing. We loved walking around Circular Quay, seeing the Opera House and taking the ferry to Manly Beach. The harbor views are something else.
What we really liked was that the group was small. It made everything easier and more relaxed. We ended up making a few friends from Canada and we still keep in touch on WhatsApp. The guide was friendly and gave us just the right amount of information without overloading us.
The hotels were comfortable and in good locations.
For the price, I think it was really worth it. You get so much in one trip and don’t have to worry about the logistics.
Great trip. Seeing the remoteness of the N and W of Tasmania contrasted with the very different side on the NE and S.
Waking up in Cradle Mountain to snow and freezing temperatures will remain a highlight of the trip, closely followed by Launceston’s Cataract Gorge optional cruise which included a wine tasting! Very difficult to select highlights!
I like the fact that Margaret, the very knowledgable guide, gave us a variety of information on the history including convict background to Sarah Island and Port Arthur, human geography, agriculture etc and makes the area really come alive.
