This was my first Contiki and international solo travel and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Absolute banger of a time! I've always wanted to go to Australia for many years now and going with Contiki, especially with on the North Queensland to Uluru, was totally worth it! I couldn't speak for the sailing version of the trip, but the land stay in Airlie beach was really a nice bit. I would recommend going in the drier seasons because it rained and was quite windy during our stay in Queensland but nonetheless, a really exciting opportunity for everyone. If it's your first time going to Australia like it was for me, this is absolutely the trip to go, as you'll be seeing the natural highlights of the continent!

Great trip. Seeing the remoteness of the N and W of Tasmania contrasted with the very different side on the NE and S.
Waking up in Cradle Mountain to snow and freezing temperatures will remain a highlight of the trip, closely followed by Launceston’s Cataract Gorge optional cruise which included a wine tasting! Very difficult to select highlights!
I like the fact that Margaret, the very knowledgable guide, gave us a variety of information on the history including convict background to Sarah Island and Port Arthur, human geography, agriculture etc and makes the area really come alive.
