Airlie Beach: Grab your new buddies, snorkel round the reef, see ‘the world’s best beach’ and eat lunch on a boat. A proper ‘pinch yourself’ moment.
Whitsunday Islands: The Great Barrier Reef is home to nearly 9,000 species of sea creatures. This means it’ll impress even the saltiest ‘sea dogs’.
Townsville: Catch a boat from the mainland to Magnetic Island.
Magnetic Island: Pack some comfy shoes and climb up to Hawking's Point for sundown. Yoga poses for Insta: optional.
Magnetic Island: Go koala-spotting, see WWII fortifications, or just have a beer in the sun. There’s something for everyone on this trail.
Embark on the adventure of a lifetime with Australia: North Queensland to Uluru, a 13-day trip designed for young adults eager to experience the country’s most iconic landscapes and activities. Start with the vibrant coral reefs of Airlie Beach, then chase sunsets on Magnetic Island and discover the ancient beauty of the Daintree rainforest.

Absolute banger of a time! I've always wanted to go to Australia for many years now and going with Contiki, especially with on the North Queensland to Uluru, was totally worth it! I couldn't speak for the sailing version of the trip, but the land stay in Airlie beach was really a nice bit. I would recommend going in the drier seasons because it rained and was quite windy during our stay in Queensland but nonetheless, a really exciting opportunity for everyone. If it's your first time going to Australia like it was for me, this is absolutely the trip to go, as you'll be seeing the natural highlights of the continent!
