Start your day with a calm canoe ride on the Rapti River. You might see many birds and two special crocodiles—the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial—resting by the water. After the ride, enjoy a guided walk through the jungle. You’ll learn about useful plants, see butterflies, and maybe spot some shy animals hiding in the trees. On the way back, you can watch—or even help—wash elephants in the river.
After lunch and some rest, embark on an exciting jeep safari in Chitwan National Park. Look out for the one-horned rhinoceros, various deer, wild boars, monkeys, leopards, sloth bears, and, if you’re lucky, the Royal Bengal Tiger.
In the evening, enjoy a Tharu dance show, a fun way to learn about the local people and their culture.
Who says trekking means roughing it? On this eight-day Premium hiking adventure, you’ll experience the beauty and culture of the Himalayan foothills and the Annapurna mountain range – without skimping on comfort. Start in bustling Kathmandu – perhaps exploring the city’s ancient temples and markets – before heading to chilled-out Pokhara. Then it’s time to gear up for your trek! Hiking at relatively low altitude in the Annapurna foothills from Ghatte Khola to Syauli Bazaar, you’ll pass through classic Nepali trekking landscapes of terraced rice paddies, rhododendron forests, traditional villages, fluttering prayer flags, and gigantic peaks you’ll never get tired of looking at. At the end of each day, unwind in cosy trekking lodges with ensuite bathrooms, hot showers, hearty meals and views like no other.
