Our trip to Gokyo Lakes and the Renjo La Pass was amazing!
Anand, our lead guide was great - always looking out for everyone to make sure each person was doing ok and enjoyed their experience. The rest of the staff - the cooks, porters and other guides, all helped ensure we had a great time.
The food was something else - it was amazing to see just what could be made each day.
This was our first trip with World Expeditions, but I certainly hope it won't be our last!

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is perfect for everyone who is looking for a variety of landscapes. You can find snowy mountains, alpine treks, hanging bridges, wild rivers and rhododendron forests on this route. We loved it and the trek as well as getting to know the Nepali culture by staying in the tea houses and getting the culture explained by our guide Ashok was unforgettable. Thank you to Ashok for the last 2 weeks for supporting and guiding us during this trek. You have became a great friend. Also many thanks to the tour operator for organizing everything and helping with every question! After arriving in Nepal we decided spontaneously to do the Manaslu Trek instead of the Annapurna Trek and this company made it possible to change everything and to provide us with a new program. We are more than happy for choosing this company.
A big thank to our guide Samda and the team (especially Ram who fed us well) and provided us with an excellent cultural and trekking experience. Samda's knowledge of Tibetan culture and the history of the monasteries provided a complete background to the history and culture of Mustang and its relationship to Tibet. Being present for the three crowded days festival was special and a complete juxtaposition to the following days trek through the stark and beautiful landscape of Mustang. We were treated to vistas of the distant snow capped mountains, alpine flowers up high, sheep and goat herders and even managed to find fossils left behind in the ancient raised seabeds pushed up with the Himalaya range. I used this local operator for a solo climb expedition of Chulu West in the Annapurna Region (6419m Peak)
Khum and Krishna at the office did a great job in setting everything up and communication during the expedition was easy, fast and efficient.
The logistics were taken care of without any major hiccups.
This expedition is quite an undertaking with setting up both a base camp on around 5000m and a High Camp around 5600m, but everything went smoothly.
The absolut highlight were the guides:
- the general guide Bishnu who knows the Annapurna Area inside out
- the climbing guide LakCha who is extremely competent and knowledgeable about all aspects of high altitude climbing
I cant praise the guides enough and would urge you to request them specifically for any high altitude climbs !
We had a great successful summit day with amazing weather and reached the summit in record time just for sunrise !
I give this operator and Bishnu and LakCha my highest recommendation !
I recently completed the Manaslu & Tsum Valley trek, and it’s safe to say it was one of the most rewarding and culturally rich experiences I’ve had in the Himalayas.
From the start, the communication with the company was clear, prompt, and reassuring. They helped tailor the itinerary slightly to suit my pace and interests, and everything from permits to logistics was handled smoothly—which is no small feat in such a remote region.
Our guide, was fantastic—not only knowledgeable about the trails, villages, and cultural nuances, but also genuinely caring and adaptable. He struck the perfect balance between giving us space to take in the environment and stepping in when needed (especially during the tougher parts of the trail).
The trek itself is stunning but not for the faint-hearted. Compared to more well-known routes like Annapurna or Everest, this one feels wilder and less developed, which was exactly what I was looking for. The trails wind through deep gorges, suspension bridges, serene monasteries, and small villages that still feel untouched by mass tourism. Tsum Valley in particular felt incredibly special—like stepping into another world, with its Tibetan-influenced culture and timeless pace of life.
Accommodation was understandably basic in many places, but my guide chose the best available tea houses and kept me and the others well-fed and comfortable. Even during the colder nights at higher altitudes, we always felt looked after.
Overall, this trek was physically demanding, culturally immersive, and emotionally grounding. It’s not your typical tourist trail, and that’s exactly why I’d recommend it—and especially go with a reputable company —to anyone seeking a more authentic Himalayan adventure. In a safe way!

The Everest High Passes trek leads to the three difficult, high passes of the stunning Everest region: Kongma La at 5535m, Cho La at 5420m and Renjo La at 5340m. Trekkers will also reach Everest Base Camp, Kalapather, Gokyo valley and several beautiful mountain lakes. Explore the beautiful and untouched Sherpa valley Nangpa La, the monastery village of Thame and witness glorious views of the surrounding peaks. If you are looking for adventure and challenge without any technical climbing, then this trek is recommended!
We start our trip with an adventurous flight to Tenzing Hillary airport at Lukla followed by a trek along the classic route through Sagarmatha National Park to the mighty Dudhkoshi river, and past beautiful landscapes, chortens and monasteries. We make our way to the Everest Base Camp after reaching the summit of Kongma La.
After visiting Everest base camp and climbing to the highest point, Kalapatthar 5,545m, the trail leads over Cho-la pass 5,386m to reach a scenic Gokyo Lake and the valley with a tremendous panorama viewpoint.

Ive travelled with 2 friends in Nov 2018 to a Expedition to EBC and Chola Pass, we had great time and I strongly recommend Exciting Nepal Agency. The agency was super organized since the booking, they did excellent planning (we had the first flights to arrive and leave from Lukla) what makes huge difference. They also adapt the tour according to our physical condition during the trip (altitude sickness). Our guide Shambuh, took care of everything, always check in on us, so we just needed to worry about walking, "Bistarei, Bistarei" We had such an unforgettable experience and with sure choosing Exciting Nepal made difference!

Island Peak located in Everest Region offers an impressive and highly glaciated face that emerges from the Lhotse Glacier. Island peak at an elevation of 6189m is actually an extension of Lhotse Shar located between the Lhotse and Imja glaciers. Island peak climbing also offers spectacular scenery of the Khumbu region and the Chhukung valley. From the highest point of the peak you can delight yourself with the huge south face of Lhotse and the wonderful view of Amadablam Peak.
We begin our climbing expedition with a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. We accompany the Dudh Koshi river valley and stay one day in the Sherpa town of Namche Bazzar and enjoy the local market. Next day we set our journey towards the amazing view of the pristine Gokyo Lake. We enjoy the climb to famous Gokyo Ri which offers one of the finest scenery of Everest , Cho Oyu and many different mountains. After climbing Gokyo Ri we cross the Cho La pass where we can enjoy yet another great prespective of mountains, and descend to Dingboche. From Dingboche we begin the arrangement for our Island peak climbing expedition. Despite the fact that we can ascend the peak in a single day, however from our earlier experience we spend two nights at the base camp for adjustment and finally attempt the Island summit from the Base Camp.

Makalu Base Camp is a great trekking area and a camping trek. Makalu Base Camp is one of the most remote and unfrequented areas of Nepal. This trek offers wilderness and stunning natural scenery and takes you to the Makalu Base Camp (5,250 m), located in Makalu Barun National Park. The unique landscape of the Makalu region shelters some of the most pristine mountain eco systems on earth. This trek is appropriate for all sorts of travelers having interest in nature.
The incredible biodiversity of the area provides a living laboratory for international scientific research. There are spectacular views of rugged Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Makalu (8,463m), fifth highest mountain in the world, Mt. Chamlang (7,319 m) and Mt. Baruntse (7,129m). Within 40km, all of these high peaks descend into the Arun River at 670m. The Makalu-Barun Valley provides stunning contrasts with craggy rocks rising from lush green forests, and colorful flowers bloom beneath white snow peaks. The dense forest of Rhododendrons, Nepal's national flower, covers the gorgeous hills of the Barun valley, where high waterfalls cascade into deep gorges, alpine meadows & the Barun glacier. Having a wide range of attitudinal and climatic variation the Makalu Base Camp trek offers a remarkable and diverse habitat for a rich variety of flora and fauna.
The trek starts with a flight to Tumlingtar and heads up the Arun River valley to Sedua and Num. From Num, the trail zigzags into the Arun and starts up the Kasuwa Khola turning westward crossing the Shipton La Pass (4,500m) into the upper Barun Khola valley. We pass through villages of the Brahman, Chhetri, Rai, Limbu, Gurung and Tamang community with their unique local culture and own mother language, tradition & costume.
