Japan in a week was incredible! The tour and the people were a blast and created memories ill cherish for the rest of my life! Tokyo and Kyoto were amazing, the Nara Deer park add on is well worth the money and day!
I do wish we spent a little more time in Osaka however
This 13 day adventure takes in the must-see sites of Tokyo and Kyoto as well as exploring the mountainous town of Takayama, impressive Himeji Castle and of course well-known Hiroshima and the famed Torii Gate of Miyajima Island. For an authentic Japanese experience ride a bullet train, stay in a ryokan and take a dip in natural hot springs.
Trafalgar was a good choice for our dream vacation to Japan. Our guide, Her name was , forgive me if I spelt her name incorrectly was wonderful. She was professional, friendly and very patient with her customers. the hotels and bus companies all were quite up to the task. very satisfied with the trip.

The Shogan Trail was a well thought out itinerary. It was full of interesting
contrasts i.e. large modern & busy cities e.g. Tokyo, historic cities e.g. Kyoto, Nara, & Nagasaki, and rural & coastal Kyushu including a beautiful boat trip amongst many small islands. The food was interesting, but not always suitable for vegetarians & vegans. You must be prepared for sunny warm weather & wet cooler weather. Heavy rain lasting for hours & causing the suspension of the Bullet Train services resulting in congestion of trains & people. The weather means you may not see Mt. Fuji. The leaves were only just beginning their autumn colours.
The dates of my trip were 27th. October to 7th. November. I thoroughly
recommend this trip as a great introduction to Japan.
