We were a group traveling together, and this tour was enjoyable. Each country offered something different. The highlight for us was definitely exploring Angkor Wat, Hoi An - lantern town and unwind on Phuket beaches together, unforgettable. Thank you to the team for making it easy to enjoy every moment.
Overall, I was truly impressed by how earth and human conscious G Adventures is. This unique focus really sets your program apart from others and makes me proud to support you now and in the future. I had the pleasure of joining my first G adventure group, accompanied by such a wonderful group of people and an excellent CEO Min and incredible local guides: Jill, Addi and Seng. Earth and human-centered tourism are often afterthoughts, so it was a pleasant surprise to see these values woven seamlessly throughout the trip, from the villages we visited to the local restaurants we supported. This thoughtful approach made the experience not only enjoyable but also deeply meaningful.

My wife and I truly enjoyed this incredible tour. The 3-star hotels exceeded our expectations, not only in comfort, but also in location, allowing us to easily explore local life. Every pickup was seamless. The tours themselves were well-organized and each experience was memorable. Honestly, our only regret is not having more time in each of these amazing places!
A special thanks to our dedicated rep, Evelyn, who supported us throughout the trip. This was a 5/5 experience, and we’ll absolutely be recommending it to family, friends, and colleagues!

I truly enjoyed my experience with GAdventures. The SouthEast Asia encompassed tour was a great way to see the highlights of 4 different countries. It was a great opportunity to truly experience each culture and give back to the communities. The tour leader really makes the experience as positive as it was. It wouldn’t be the same without Chen!

Asia is famous for its street food, with each country being so unique and diverse. Vietnam is no exception and the street food of Hanoi should not be missed by any traveller! Vietnamese food has a lot to offer, but finding where and what is the main challenge when visiting the bustling Old Town of Hanoi. On this tour, our expert guide takes you by the hand and allows you to sample some of the most famous dishes to some of Vietnams hidden delights.
We start the street food walking tour with an insight into traditional Vietnamese food at different eateries. Well, the first stop is near the Hoan Kiem Lake called "Bun Cha". It is mixed grilled pork meat with noodle and sweet & sour sauce.
Then, we could continue to tour with other food. On the way, the guide will tell about history of the Old Quarter and Hanoi whilst you observe locals' daily life and work.
The guide will then take you to one of the best cafés in Hanoi. You'll be so surprised until you savor the drink with an off-putting name yet delicious taste - egg-coffee.
Next, you'll go to Quan Chuong Gate - an architectural work and a cultural, historical and geographical vestige of Hanoi. This gate has been one of the twenty-one city gates of Hanoi since 1749. We'll also stop by the traditional house at 87 Ma May street is typical of the traditional architecture in the Old Quarter. It was recognized as Vietnamese National Heritage in 2004.
When we leave the old house, it's time for drinks. Enjoy local beer (draught beer) with chips at the "international" corner Ta Hien where each night, hundreds of travelers and a large number of locals flock here to hang out. Rest on small plastic stools, drink beer and observe the local daily life of the Old Quarter.
If your stomach still has some space, keep going to try the steamed rice pancake rolls (banh cuon). This dish is made from rice starch and maybe grilled pork, if you choose.
We finish the tour at Hoan Kiem lake. Before saying goodbye, the guide will tell a legend story referring to this lake. Then, you can either continue exploring on your own, take a taxi or ask the guide's assistance for directions to get back the hotel and suggestions anything.
Hanoi's traffic-clogged streets can be overwhelming for locals, expats and tourists alike. This tour takes you out of the smog and guides you to an ancient village known for its beautiful houses and narrow alleys. Perfect to see life outside the city or perhaps take some photographs.
Itinerary:
08:15 am: Our driver & tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter, then travel west of Hanoi to visit Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where many old houses stand preserved.
As you walk along tiny ancient alleys; visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu hamlet - the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes.
Have an opportunity to talk with the locals in their ancient houses by visiting the ancient house of Mr Lam, Mr Ha and Mr Huyen. Your special lunch with Vietnamese food will also take place in one of these traditional ancient houses.
In the afternoon, we continue driving to visit Mia Pagoda (another hamlet in Duong Lam village), it was built in the 15th century and houses 287 statues of all sizes, among which include famous sculptures such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Vajra Deities.
Finally, visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.
Driving back Hanoi the tour finishes around 5:00 pm at your hotel. Good bye and see you again!
Join us as we take you through the streets of Hanoi, acquainting you with some of its major landmarks and a rich history that goes back by thousands of years. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel or meet you outside the Hanoi Opera House.
Meet your group members and Vietnamese female drivers who will be there with you throughout the journey. Start the city tour after a safety briefing. See some of the major landmarks of the capital such as the Hanoi Opera House, Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, Dong Xuan Market, Cua Bac Catholic Church, the Flag Tower of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Thang Long Citadel.
Enjoy typical Vietnamese street food before driving to West Lake, the biggest freshwater lake in the capital. Visit the Tay Ho Temple, located near this massive urban water body, and learn about Northern Vietnamese culture. Drive past the historic Long Bien Bridge, the oldest bridge in Hanoi. End your tour with a glass of egg coffee, popular among the locals. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel after that.
