This was a fun trip, but it was very fast-paced. It gave a great overview of all that the UK and Ireland have to offer, but there wasn’t enough time to see very much of it in depth. It’s perfect for helping you pick out the places you want to see again in more detail. It involves a fair amount of riding around on the coach, but the route is consistently planned with carefully spaced “comfort” breaks. Some of the stops in small towns were given too much time, when there wasn’t much to do or see, and some of the stops could have been longer, when there was a lot to see or do. Our Tour Director was excellent, and so was our driver. Most of the hotels were very nice, with a few that were just OK. The included group dinners weren’t very exciting, but they were reasonable and tasty.

The entire trip was wonderful. I’m unable to single out just one city or experience because I enjoyed it all equally. I signed up for every optional experience and was not disappointed. I loved the ruins and the history from both our tour director and the specialists brought on in various areas.
It was excellent and we saw heaps.
Would like to have had time to see Shakespeare’s grave in church before we went to museum as church was closed by the time we got back to hotel.

We had a wonderful time. We quickly realized how lucky we were when we saw the skillful organization and coordination that took place each day. Our trip included all the must see places and events. We would have struggled for a month to try and achieve seeing and doing everything, on our own.

This 22-day tour of Britain and Ireland is brought to life by Local Experts, with an arsenal of immersive experiences. Visit Orkney Islands for a glimpse of Britain’s furthest northern reaches and the 1000-year-old Kirkwall Town. Visit Ireland’s medieval city of Kilkenny and it's castle. Cross England’s Salisbury Plains to prehistoric Stonehenge where a tour unlocks some of the secrets held by these 5000-year-old megaliths, while the Viking city of York charms all with its maze of narrow streets and close quarter homes.
