It was a fabulous tour covering such a variety of places and events while also providing a few 2 or 3 night stays, meaning there were less days that required us to pack and move hotels.

was an excellent tour director. Very knowledgeable. our driver was an excellent and very safe driver. I always felt safe on the coach with at the wheel. Both were very accommodating especially with passengers with mobility issues. I will travel again this December on a Christmas market tour and look forward to the trip with Insight.

It was a complete pleasure. Well organized, professionally executed by friendly, knowledgeable staff. *personal info removed by Feefo*couldn’t have been better. Big kudos to them. I heartily recommend them and the itinerary.

We were always on the go; because of that, we saw so much of Scotland in 9 quick days. I really appreciated being taken care of-no driving on the wrong side of the road or getting lost, no handling our luggage, having all our reservations taken care of. Also we met some really cool people on our very comfortable Mercedes bus.

Despite discussions with travel agent, this novice traveler (& wife) was ill-prepared to "drink from the firehose" of activity within the short period of time this trip provided. To our initial surprise the assigned travel director was not a native to the area. This was quickly overcome as we were quickly made aware of his experience and knowledge which made up for the deficit. The trip offered a range of relatively significant cultural and historical perspectives providing "a little about a lot, not a lot about a little" to this traveler. For this reason, a cautionary travel note is warranted. The relative size of the country is insignificant compared to the socio-cultural impact it has experienced and has provided to the rest of the world throughout the ages i.e. French, English, Spanish, Nordic, etc. The lodging and food experience while culturally-appropriate, was wide ranging in quality providing recollections of the collegiate dormitory experience. Some of the amenities (or lack thereof) are questionable, or may just be one of unexpected cultural differences. Time allotted to site visits appeared to be inadequate for the amount of information available to review and the land area to cover (walk over). Overall, this trip provided a good cultural experience generating some potential consideration for a re-visit to this country - perhaps in a different format. Unfortunately, while our travel director was receptive to our initial request and researched accommodations for us to visit the castle of my ancestors, much to our chagrin, the schedule and our fatigue did not allow for this to become reality.

I recently completed the Best of Scotland tour Booking #C095768 and have a few comments. Our tour director was very nice and courteous, and quite knowledgeable. I do wish that he had offered a Ceilidh evening and dinner on an alternate night since the one that was originally listed as an optional experience was the same evening of the Edinburgh tattoo. I was really looking forward to attending Ceilidh. The tattoo was wonderful, however, and I would not have wanted to miss that. We did really enjoy the Be My Guest experience dinner at Craufurdlund Castle. I was surprised that our optional experiences payments went directly to . We felt that Trafalgar should have covered our transfer to the airport even though we left two days later. It should still be part of our package as we’ve paid for it. One of the days in the Highlands we went back to the hotel with extra time to relax, but I would rather have seen more or had more time at one of the stops. I’m not sure if our guides are not allowed to go into castles or locations, but I expected more use of the Vox headsets and narration. The Highlands hotel was very noisy, especially the first night. We could hear every step the guests above us took, ands doors slammed loudly. Overall, it was a great trip and I do enjoy traveling with Trafalgar.
