I just completed a EBC and Gokyo Valley trip organized by this local travel specialist based in Nepal, what a wonderful itinerary. EBC is a bit of a letdown as there isn't much to see but Kala Patthar, the glaciers, the mountain pass and Gokyo part of the trip certainly make up for it. At times challenging with the altitude but worth the effort. Everything went smoothly with the company, if you are traveling solo expect tto share a room in the tea houses unless you communicate in advance specific needs or request. Most teahouses have sharing accommodations and rely on income form meals, so unless it is planned in advance sharing would be expected. Overall communication was prompt and excellent, our guide was very knowledgeable, experienced, and patient. Our group was very small, just two of us. I had a bit of altitude sickness and was unsure about being able to complete the mountain pass after EBC, I had no doubt arrangements would be made should I needed to come back sooner. The agency was also great with hotel accommodations and tours in Kathmandu. Highly recommend them, Arjum and Raj are geat to work with.

We were very happy and impressed with the experience we received on this trek. When we arrived in Kathmandu there was heavy rains and flooding that disrupted normal travel to the Everest region. Yet, this tour operator did an amazing job at organizing everything for us so that we didn’t miss anything and started on time. Our guide Pasang Tamang was amazing and friendly, and he did a fantastic job communicating with us and keeping us safe. Very highly recommend, and I hope to go on another trip with Pasang again.

My partner and I recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek and I am 100% confident they are the best company available. From start to finish they were there for our every need.
During our time in Kathmandu, the agency representative was always at the hotel in person, greeting us with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. Before our arrival he was always on hand by email and replied almost instantly to every single question or query I sent him, even with the significant time difference between UK and Nepal. I really don't know how he does it.
Our guide during the trek was an absolute pro and was always on hand to answer questions or organize meals, permits or any other need we might have. His knowledge of the Everest region and how to navigate it physically was second to none and it was apparent by the many other guides and porters who stopped to greet him that he is a very experienced and well respected member of the trekking community.
A special thanks to the porters in our team, who powered up the trail every day carrying close to 40kg each. Never complaining and never without a smile or a fist bump. They arranged our meals in the evening and came along on acclimatization days.
Our group of 3 made it to Everest Base Camp. Many did not. I am certain this came down to the expert guidance and support given by the team. Should I ever return to undertake another adventure, it will be with this team.

I believe this is thanks to the guide’s 5 years of experience and giving us the best advice to make it safely and happily to base camp. The best accommodations and looked after me when I wasn’t feeling well from altitude the night before base camp. I worried about the weather to get out of Lukla and the guide eased our minds that we would be taken care of if other arrangements needed to be made to get home safely.

I am glad to say that I did the Dolpo after a few friends recommended me. Booking with the operator was an easy process and they replied to all my queries on email instantly. I didn't know what to do and when they suggested that I do this trek based on my interest, I blindly trusted them on this tour. And I should say, I made no mistake with that. My guide was informative and responsive to all my needs and wellness. Everything went beyond my expectation right from the moment I was given a warm welcome in the airport until the time I got back home. I completed the EBC trek with this local tour operator in October. From the beginning the company were excellent. They responded to all questions very quickly and clearly. They provided lots of extra information for me for my stay in Kathmandu. The guide on my trek, Raj, was excellent. He was great fun and had our safety as his first priority all the time. He kept us positive throughout and gave us clear information before each day of what would happen. The lodges we stayed in were exactly what we needed and the food throughout the trek was great. Our porters were also great fun and so kind. Raj was excellent at keeping everyone together and making sure that everybody was ok during the trek. We had a beautiful celebratory dinner once we had completed the trek, where we saw some traditional dancing and received plaques to remember our trek. The trek exceeded my expectations and I think a lot of that is down to Himalayan Recreation. I would highly recommend them for your trek!
