Ben was an Amazing Guide, Knowledgeable, but firm. I really enjoyed how easy he made everything. The only thing I would say is the tours with the sales pitch I could have done without.
Head for Monte Subasio on a 3-hour walking tour of Assisi and explore Italy’s famous pilgrimage site. Stroll the maze of medieval streets, and visit the Basilicas of Santa Chiara and St. Francis to see one of Italy’s largest collections of church art. Located on a gentle hill beneath the summit of Monte Subasio, the fabled Umbrian town of Assisi is the most famous pilgrimage site in Italy, a consequence of being the birthplace of Saint Francis.
Born in the village of warm pink stone in 1182, Francis founded the mendicant Franciscan order to which he gave his name in 1210. Prior to his birth, Assisi had been settled by ancient Umbrian tribes, and later became a Roman town. Thanks to this rich history and blend of incredible architecture and art, Assisi is a multi-faceted town.
Discover all its facets in one emotional 3-hour walking tour. Stop by to pay particular attention to the 2 churches of the Basilica of Santa Chiara, dedicated to the founder of the Order of Poor Ladies, and the Papal Basilica of St. Francis, built between 1228 and 1253. It is now home to the consecrated remains of the saint.
The stunning monument is also said to have the best collection of art in any church of Italy, including frescoes and paintings by Cimabue, Giotto, Lorenzetti and more.

We got 2 black points in this tour
1. The punctuality was not exactly the strong point, the situation was more in Paris with a group of Indu, every si god day morning and afternoon, we were late 30 minutes other day 1 hour, the rest of the group have to wait and we missed time to visit other things only because we have to wait for them. I think the guy was not enough strong with them.
2. The minibus used to bring us from Zurich to Milan and from Milan to Pisa, it was very very uncomfortable, we did not fix in the chair, it was the worst transportation, imagine how was the situation that me and my group decided no continue the tour because we dont want to travel another 6 hours to Roma in that minicar.
I never received the information that we were traveling in a very small and bad car.
Europamundo took the hassle out of our overall trip planning, with friendly and knowledgeable tour guides, coordinated transportation, offers of optional tours and top notch accommodations all we had to do was sit back and enjoy our vacation. Each guide adds a different element to the trip and provides great snippets of cultural and historical facts about the countries and cities you visit. If ever in doubt always do the extra/optional tours, they are a great way to get that extra mile out of your trip, great also if you are not comfortable exploring a new place on your own. If you are a timely person that appreciates a well planned set schedule of daily activities from walking tours to boat cruises and bus tours, this is perfect for you.
There were so many historical sites and known stops you just read about that were added to this tour. the pace was fast and there was a lot of walking ..it may be hard on an older market as there were steps and inclines but when you do it ,what you see at the end of it all was majestic, memorable and worth it. The breakfast at each hotel was fulfilling and with a wide variety.
The tour guides were knowledgeable and communicated well.
