The architecture here is inspired by the Portuguese architecture of the 19th century, that's why it's called the Old Village. The pedestrian streets are paved with the typical Portuguese cobblestones and the gardens are very well kept. Many people don't know that there is a beautiful environmental park in the heart of Vilamoura, but it really exists! You can explore the park on foot or by bike. In the park, you can see sheep, horses (as a horse stable, Centro Hípico, is located nearby), storks and other bird species.
