We had a great time on our Barcelona City Tour. There were only 4 guests, which was a perfect size for a tour. Joao was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. We were picked up at our hotel in the Gothic quarter and walked a short distance to where the van was parked. We loved seeing all the different sites. We ended at La Sagrada Familia. We had requested tickets inside with tower access. These tickets were secured ahead of time so we were able to skip the line. This was the highlight of the tour.

What can go wrong with Walking & Wine Tasting?? - Absolutely nothing....a fantastic tour and one that I/we were dubious about due to our lack of stamina for walking, however this was paced fabulously and the walking was wonderful with some stunning scenery. Accommodation was excellent (apart from one very basic hotel). The places visited were all different in there own way, but it was great to get out of Madrid and into Countryside. The Group were great - A mix of Brits. Aussies. Americans and a Kiwi and all above the age of 50, but please don't let this put you off booking this tour!! The Winery's & Bodegas visited were an excellent mix. The food, was truly amazing. Magdalena our Tour guide was fabulous and considering this was her first tour with Explore, she did a remarkable job. Now, where to next????
