Spend a night camping in the desert under the starry African sky. Next on the itinerary is a hiking trip in the valley of Todra, known for its series of river canyons carved out of limestone. We took a 10 days trip from Marrakesh to Fes, through Ourzazat and Merzuga desert. Our driver was Mokhtar. We had wonderful time. mokhtar is a very skilled and friendly driver, knowing a lot about every region of Moroco. He knows good photo spots as well. The hotel we stayed in Ourzazat was boutique and very relaxing. The second night we stayed in a luxury camp at the desert, which was above the expectations. A great experience to see a lot of Morocco in relatively short time - I highly recommend Top Desert Tours and Mohamed! Really enjoyed this tour. Itinerary was great. Pace was right, and our tour leader was amazing. Will definitely come back to Spain and Portugal again. Touring Morocco was great too, and very different from travelling in Europe. Had I done this tour as a single traveller it would have costed me a lot more, so got value for money as well. It was a "grand" tour! It covered what we wanted to see, do and experience in Morocco. Our tour guide, Moha, was well informed and very patient in accommodating the needs of all in the group. He dealt with all situations with good humour. The local guides enhanced the experience in understanding the Moroccan people and their culture.
Our own special highlights included... Chefchaouen, eating with a family in Fes, both visits to desert camps, particularly the camel ride, walking in the Todra Gorge, eating fish in Essaaouira and not forgetting getting lost in the souks.
A lot of travel but each journey was fascinating with many points of interest.
