Great first trip with G Adventures. We had a really good group and Phil did a great job running interference for us. In the end, any challenges during the trip will just become part of a good story!

Our tour was nothing short of exciting and wonderful. I loved exploring history having a well rounded, knowledgeable tour guide by my side. Lee & Craig showed a genuine caring & understanding for our wants and needs; I am extremely satisfied with how the last week went. Through ups & downs they kept us positive & motivated. I would definitely recommend this trip to future tourists, friends & family!

I didn't know what to expect, all I can say is was fantastic. Luke & Craig were exceptional they couldn't do enough for us, nothing was a problem. Luke is the best tour leader we've ever had. His knowledge about history & places were amazing. Craig's driving was exceptional & his thoughtfulness was over & above. They work SOOOOOOOO WELL together. Thank you XPat for placing them as our tour leader & driver.

The itinerary couldn’t be better. We did and saw everything we hoped for and more. Hotels were good to excellent. The coach was very comfortable. *Personal details removed by Feefo* had film clips and music for us on the sometimes longish journeys. The value for money was excellent.
From Edinburgh, this tour heads past Stirling, catching views of the Castle and The Wallace Monument, and then north into The Highlands.
Passing the town of Callander and over Rannoch Moor the tour comes to the dark brooding Pass of Glen Coe, where we stop for photographs and to hear the haunting story of the massacre of 1692.
After crossing Loch Leven at Ballachulish we stop for lunch in the Fort William area, then follow the course of the Caledonian Canal up the Great Glen to Fort Augustus on Loch Ness where you will have time to enjoy am optional boat cruise.
After Loch Ness we will take in magnificent views of Loch Laggan on return our journey towards Edinburgh.
We should catch a quick view of the magnificent Blair Castle, home of the Dukes of Atholl for over 700 years, before making a stop in picturesque Pitlochry, a delightful Victorian resort town. We then head south through the Kingdom of Fife, past Perth and over the Forth Road Bridge alongside the amazing Forth Bridge before arriving back in Edinburgh.
Relaxing music will be played during your comfortable drive back to Edinburgh.
NOTES:
- The section of the tour between Loch Ness and Pitlochry may be subject to change in the event of inclement weather or road conditions.

A perfect wee taster of Scotland - this tour mixes up the world’s largest horse sculptures “The Kelpies”, the seriously stunning beauty of Loch Lomond (the biggest loch or lake in the whole of Britain and inspiration to poets and painters) and The Trossachs National Park with the savage history of Stirling Castle where kings were murdered, and rebellions started. If you're after a Kelpies tour from Edinburgh that also crams in lochs, legends, and a good bit of chaos from Scotland’s past – you’re in the right place.
This magical Alnwick Castle tour takes you from Edinburgh to the Anglo-Scottish border to learn about the bloody battles that raged. We’ll visit the picture-perfect seaside village of Bamburgh where you can head to the beach for some shenanigans and get the chance to visit mighty Bamburgh Castle which dates back to the 5th century. But more importantly, we’re going to Hogwarts! Harry Potter fans rejoice - we’re off to the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Along with a rich history and magnificent splendour, Alnwick Castle also starred in Downton Abbey.
Whisky divides people. You either love its fiery warmth or detest its full-on flavour. Either way, there’s a reason why it’s Scotland’s national drink and our biggest export.
Whether you fall head over heels for our finest dram or banish it to the back of the drinks cabinet, at least you can say you’ve tried it on Scottish soil on a whisky tour from Edinburgh and seen a little of our sexy country along the way – think impressive waterfalls, a mythical glen, ancient woodlands, and a charming Highland village.
