I want to thank Jojo for organizing the Tibet tour for me. If you got Jojo as your travel consultant, you are in good hands! She's attention to details, quick to response and goes out of her way to help address any questions and concerns that you may have. Although I experienced severe high altitude sickness, I managed to enjoy the beautiful scenery that Tibet had to offer. Our tour guide Dawa and our driver Dr. Guo were awesome. They were very patience and understanding. If you have to chose between standard hotels vs comfort hotels, chose comfort hotels. Some of my fellow travelers regretted booking standard hotels. Just beware, they don't have non smoking hotel rooms. The hotel rooms reeked with cigarette smoke, which got me sick at the end. My tour guide tried to get me a non smoking room, but all the rooms are the same. Overall the Tibet trip was a wonderful experience!

Pickup time from your hotel is at around 9:00am. Drive about 2.5 hours to arrive at the ticket office of Longji Rice Terraces Scenic Area. Continue to the middle of the mountain, where the entrance of the Ping’an Minority village is located, take a trolley car to the top viewing platform of the Longji Rice Terraces famous as “Nine Dragons and Five Tigers”. Then walk along the rice terraces to another sightseeing named “Seven Stars Accompany Moon”. Continue to walking down into the minority village and lunch rest. Walk back to our car, drive back to Guilin, enroute, visit another Minority Village famous as “Long hair Yao Village”. Drive back to hotel in Guilin at about 18:00. Before back to hotel, you are suggested to visit the Reed Flute Cave(1hr) with numerous stalactites and stalagmites in unique shapes and lightened up by artificial colorful light inside. You are suggested to experience the Night Cruise in Four Lakes around the Guilin City in the evening, which lasts for 1hr and offers the unique night city and lakes‘ view lightened by the colorful lights behind trees, bridges, buildings. You could also have chance to see the fishermen fishing with their cormorants in the third lake-Osmanthus Lake.

First, I was extremely pleased by the Local guides. They were upfront and clear about the whole process beginning with travel itinerary, help with the visa process, travel costs and so on. The agents were cordial, and always responded promptly during the pre travel phase of the journey. Once our tour started, I was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm of the guides to show everything possible at different sites. The guides as well as the driver were very friendly and helpful. The organization of the itinerary and the logistics were very well planned. All hotels, with the exceptionption of one, were very good. The only shortcoming that I can think of, was the food that was local thoroughout the journey. It lacked variety and there was no other option. However, this is not the fault of the travel agency since all restaurants served only local food. Overall, I can summarize that I had a great experience. The trip was very well planned, organized and successfully completed.
