The Groot Constantia winery lunch & wine tasting were fantastic, and our walking tour through Kirstenbosch Garden & the Tree Canopy memorable.

Stellenbosch Hot Air Balloon & Champagne - December 2026

Stellenbosch Hot Air Balloon & Champagne - December 2026

5
Experience breathtaking views of South Africa's wine region, Stellenbosch, from a hot air balloon during this ten-hour, guided tour and taste locally produced Methode Cap Classique (MCC) wines, South Africa's equivalent of French Champagne. This tour starts with a pickup at your hotel in Cape Town form where we will drive you to the balloon launch site in Stellenbosch. See hills swathed with neat rows of vines and quaint buildings from above as you fly over the area. Toast the landing where ever that may be with a traditional glass of sparkling wine and/or orange juice. Our retrieval vehicle will take you back to the venue for breakfast/brunch. Receive a commemorative certificate which proves that you defied the laws of gravity. Time to sample some locally produced sizzling bubbles after your feet are safely back on the ground during a visit to the wine estates that you flew over. Without any delay, we head off to the house of JC Le Roux, a leading wine estate dedicated exclusively to creating sparkling wine. It was also the first wine estate in South Africa to undertake this endeavour. Using traditional French technique, this wine estate created South Africa's finest, vintage Methode Cap Classiques. Our next stop Lanzerac Wine Estate. This wine estate came to existence in 1962 when Isaac Schrijver was granted a piece of land by the then Governor of the Cape, Simon Van Der Stel, and it has since grown into an iconic South African wine estate it is today. Sample their Methode Cap Classique (MCC) before it is time to head home. We will drop you off at your hotel in Cape Town after the tour is over.

City, Table Mountain And Robben Island - December 2026

City, Table Mountain and Robben Island - December 2026

No tour of Cape Town is complete without a trip to Table Mountain, the flat-topped mountain overlooking Cape Town. Join us on this guided, ten-hour tour and combine a trip to the mountain with a three-hour tour of Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisioned. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cape Town and drive you to the base of the mountain from where a quick ride up in a gondola is all you need to experience the famous landmark. What makes Table Mountain so unique is that it forms an amphitheater around the city. If the weather is favourable, you will enjoy 360-degree views of the “Mother City”. If not, then don’t despair, as we will take you to the top of Signal Hill, which also provides spectacular views. You have the option to enjoy your lunch at Greenmarket Square, after which we board a ferry to Robben Island. While travelling across to Robben Island, you will have fantastic views of Cape Town and Table Mountain. This island became one of the most recognisable prisons in the world due to the 18-year incarceration of Nelson Mandela in this facility. The tour of Robben Island incudes a nostalgic stop at the cell of this world-famous leader, which has been preserved in the same condition as it was while he was staying in the facility. Learn more about the prison’s history and the plight of the prisoners from your guide, a former political prisoner with a wealth of information to share. We will drive you back to Cape Town and drop you off at your hotel after the tour is over.

Beautiful Cape Wine Lands - December 2026

Beautiful Cape Wine Lands - December 2026

The Cape wine lands are divided into various different regions, each offering their own ‘wine route’. The most popular and well-known are Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Wellington and Paarl. The wine farms of Stellenbosch are the closest in distance to Cape Town and are within a 45-minute drive of the city centre. This is the most well known wine region and is home to a variety of cellars, producing some of the country’s most acclaimed wines. The old town of Stellenbosch (1650) is a university town and the oak-lined almost original Dorp Straat is home to museums and galleries as well as many student cafes and restaurants.
