Day Tour to Cairo and the Pyramids - October 2025
Egypt. The land of the ancients. One of the early great civilizations of the world. There's just so much history to see and breathe here. Every nook, every cranny presents something new, the atmosphere rich with antiquity. A trip to this beautiful land is sure to leave you mesmerized and speechless, presenting a journey like no other. This private day excursion takes you to some of the key highlights around Cairo, one of the most happening cities in the country. Of course, pyramids are included!!
Pick Up
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Giza or Cairo International Airport then drive the downtown of Cairo where is The Egyptian Museum.
Visit the Egyptian Museum
You will start the tour by visiting the world- famous Egyptian Museum. The museum, spanning two floors, houses a vast 120,000 masterpieces from different eras and periods in Egyptian history. The most popular exhibits are that of treasures relating to the Pharaonic kings and queens, such as the child king Tutankhamen and the room of mummies. In the latter, visitors can learn more about mummification art in ancient Egypt.
Discover the Nile by Felucca " Optional "
After your visit to the Egyptian museum, you will have the chance to relax and float on a Felucca (small motor boat) on a trip along the longest river in the world. Here you can take time to absorb the panoramic views of the city in the summer breeze.
Stop for Lunch
Next we will take a break to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in a restaurant with wonderful views of the Nile. Drinks are not included.
Visit Pyramids & Sphinx
After lunch, we will cross the Nile and travel to Giza to the ancient pyramids, constructed in around 2560 BC. Renowned as one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, it will be hard not to stare in amazement on your arrival at the pyramids and ask: ‘How were they built? And why?’ Don’t worry – all of our guides are qualified Egyptologists and will be happy to guide you and answer all of your questions. There will be the option at this point in the tour to go inside one of the three ancient pyramids.
After that we will walk down to the edge of the plateau to King Kafra Valley where you can take your first glimpse of the Great Sphinx and its temple. The Great Sphinx of Giza is a mythological creature, formed of a human head and the body of a lion which standing at over 20 meters high 73 metres long is a magnificent sight to behold.
Shopping
Our final stop of about one hour will be for shopping. Here you will have the chance to buy authentic and traditional Egyptian souvenirs and gifts produced by local craftspeople. We will spend time at the Papyrus Institute, where you will be given a demonstration on how this famous paper is made and where you will also have the chance to purchase papyrus art. We will also visit a perfume shop, where you can shop for Arabian scents and beautifully decorated perfume bottles.
Drive Back
At the end of the day our guide will transfer you back to your hotel or to the airport to catch your flight.

GIZA ZOO AND WILDLIFE TOUR IN CAIRO - October 2025
Our guide will pickup you from your hotel at 10:00 am to start your half day Tour to Giza Zoo.
Giza Zoo overlooks Cairo University; it has five gates on all sides, and was built in 80 acres of land. Inside the zoo there are over 130 species of mammals, birds and reptiles. Most of the greenery in the zoo is because of rare plants, and the gorgeous grottoes.
Other than playing host to a number of animals, the zoo also has an animal museum, an animal experimental center and an animal behavioral study institute. Not to mention that the zoo works on saving endangered animals through breeding and then relocating the animals to their original habitats.
Some of the animals you can find here are baboons, chimpanzees, lions, leopards, jackals, kangaroos, sea lions, and bears. Also many breeds of birds can be found like vultures, pelicans, cockatoos, emus, flamingos, and sacred ibises. You can also find reptiles such as crocodiles, alligators, and cobras.
In 2010, the Zoo had new arrivals, three orangutans (Teetee, Fatouta, Bangu), Bonnet Macaques, Rhesus Macaque, Pigtail Macaque, and Patas monkey. Also, baby animals were born this year including a beautiful American black bear named Lola.
Theres also the touching story of Muzas survival. She is a beautiful chimp, who arrived to the Zoo in April 2010 exhausted and with several tumors. A team of zoo vets took good care of her, and successfully removed the two tumors from her neck and chest
To have a nice day at the zoo with the animals, you have to come prepared. Our advice would be that you make sure when you visit the Giza Zoo that there is someone else to walk its long streets with you. There is power in numbers; almost everything is more fun with other people to enjoy it with you.
The best time to visit would be in the early mornings between the months of October and January (during national holidays the number of people there can get overwhelming). Its much less crowded and you can actually enjoy the day with cooler weather. There are plenty of benches and seating areas around.
At 14:00 we transfer you back to your hotel.

We had a fantastic trip to Egypt. I am a single mum with a 10 and 12 year old. We were in a very small group with just one other family and we had a brilliant time. Mohammed, the group leader was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and fun and made everything run smoothly, even the bits that didn’t (don’t expect the train to be on time, however flashy the new station). He was fantastic with the kids and generous with his experience of all aspects of Egyptian life.
The trip is pretty full on but there is downtime built in. We love Egypt and will definitely go back. We’ll also definitely do another holiday with explore. For me, being on my own with the kids, the group meant I got some downtime and everything being so well organised meant I felt like I got a holiday as well! As an added bonus it was no more expensive to have two rooms at the hotels!

Your adventure kicks off in Amman, Jordan! We'll sort your airport transfer, and you'll have a free evening to settle in. Next up, you'll explore the amazing Roman ruins at Jerash and discover Amman's highlights like the Citadel and Roman Theatre. You'll also get a taste of local life with a street food experience and pop into the unique Wild Jordan Centre in the evening. After Amman, you'll travel south along the scenic King's Highway. Leaving the Dead Sea behind, you'll fly from Amman to Cairo to start the Egyptian leg of your journey (we'll handle the transfers, but the flight cost is not included). Get ready to be amazed, because once in Egypt, your expert Egyptologist guide takes you to some truly iconic sights – the incredible Great Pyramids and the mysterious Sphinx watching over the Giza plateau! It's a real 'pinch me' moment. You'll even get to refuel with a delicious and authentic Koshary lunch, a bustling plate of Egyptian comfort food, before hopping on the overnight train heading south. The train journey itself is an experience, travelling through the night (you can upgrade to the sleeper train for extra comfort). Waking up refreshed, you'll arrive in Aswan, a relaxed city on the Nile. Here, you'll take a boat trip out to the stunningly relocated Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis, on its island home. You'll also get a wonderful feel for local life with an overnight stay in a colourful Nubian village nearby, known for its warm hospitality. There's an unforgettable optional trip to see the colossal temples of Abu Simbel, built by Ramses II and saved from the rising waters of Lake Nasser – seeing them at sunrise is magical. Afterwards, it’s time to slow the pace right down as you board a traditional Nile felucca. Spend the afternoon peacefully sailing down the Nile, watching rural life unfold on the banks. Your Nubian crew will sail the boat, cook your meals, and maybe even entertain you with some local songs! You'll sleep on the deck under the stars (mattresses and blankets provided – it's basic but brilliant, though a hotel upgrade is possible if you prefer comfort!). After a final breakfast on the felucca, you'll say goodbye to the crew and travel north towards Luxor, often called the world's greatest open-air museum. On the way, you'll stop at the remarkably well-preserved Edfu Temple. Once in Luxor, you might want to see the grand Luxor Temple, beautifully lit up in the evening. The next day brings more wonders with a fascinating tour of Luxor's West Bank. You'll delve into the tombs of Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings, marvel at the unique terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and see the giant Colossi of Memnon. For a truly breathtaking perspective, an optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise over the West Bank is highly recommended! There might also be a chance to explore the vast Karnak Temple complex later on. Then it's time for the overnight train journey back to Cairo. Once there, you'll have a full day to explore this bustling capital. You could relax, wander independently, or perhaps join an optional tour – maybe delve into Coptic Cairo and the Citadel, discover the evolution of pyramids at Saqqara and Memphis, or take a guided walk through the vibrant chaos of the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar, soaking up the sounds, smells, and sights. On your final day, there's still time for some last-minute souvenir hunting or perhaps a visit to the incredible Egyptian Museum, home to countless ancient treasures including Tutankhamun's famous collection, before we take you to the airport for your flight home, full of amazing memories.
Accommodation is in comfortable mid-range hotels, Bedouin tents with proper beds in Wadi Rum, a friendly local Nubian guesthouse in Aswan, plus one night on board the felucca sailboat on the Nile.
