Thanks to the very swift reply of Thinley and his team an easy booking of my 13 days of stay in Bhutan was complete in 3 days including flights to Paro and e-Visa. Thinley was always responsible to my needs during my stay. This local travel specialist does have excellent connections so that my trekking was led by an experienced mountain guide and a team, which made my trekking experience very safe. They do also have a wide variety of 3* to 5* hotels, which accommodate everybody’s need. As a trekker I chose 3* hotels and was very happy.

The trip was absolutely incredible and we fell in love with Bhutan; its landscape,people and beauty. This was largely due to our magnificent guide Wangchuki. He was kind, patient and knowledgeable. His friendliness and humour made every single moment of the trip one to be cherished. The tour group we were with ,was perfect and we enjoyed getting to know people from different countries and of varying ages. The hotels we stayed in were unique and comfortable and everything ran seamlessly. We were lucky enough to enjoy a local festival ,as well as watching monks create their beautiful butter sculptures. In the course of our trip, we had two drivers ,Pala and Gelsen. Both were extremely careful and skilled drivers , ensuring we felt safe and comfortable at all times. No mean feat on the winding ,narrow, mountain roads ! Thank you for everything Wangchuk, you and your stunning country will always have a very special place in our hearts.

Another guy named, Colins is also wonderful tour guide. Going out with him for my tour feels like he's been my long time friend. Very comfortable to talk to and he takes good pictures too. And the hotel room is warm and it's been a long time not sleeping well due to work. But at the hotel, I have rested perfectly. The buffet breakfast at hotel is so yummy too. We’ve just returned from a remarkable 12 days in Bhutan and couldn’t recommend it more highly. This is some feedback from Sophie and me. The whole thing went brilliantly from start to finish. We have some appreciation for the challenges of operating in developing countries, and so very much respect what went into delivering the outstanding service. We were continually delighted. Our expectations were well and truly exceeded. The core trekking support team of Sam, Norbu, and Sigay was genuinely outstanding. They worked tirelessly and delivered incredible meals and services for us, always with a bright smile. They were 10/10. The guide, Sonam, was good - capable, organised, calm and helpful. He dealt with the two mini crises extremely well - when one guest had to be evacuated and the 2nd set of ponies was very late. His one area for improvement is his communication. This would be three things: (i) English pronunciation, (ii) in talking to our group, he nearly always directed his gaze and speech to me, the only male in the group, to the exclusion of the women, and (iii) he could be more proactive and forthcoming with information. He will go from 8/10 to 10/10 if he can improve his communication. There was a small misunderstanding about the tipping. From the WEx materials and common sense, we had assumed the tips would be given at the end of the trip. Sonam asked us for a tip for the first set of horsemen when they finished their work mid-trip, and he indicated that the team tip fund would usually be provided at the start. That didn’t seem consistent with the WEx materials, and we had no way to know how much horsemen should be tipped. Also, the WEx materials say “if” you have a guide or drivers, which is odd given that this trip had both. Our sense from the WEx materials was that there would be two tips: one for the team and one for the guide. We assumed the drivers and horsemen were part of the team. In reality, more than two tips were required, as drivers and horsemen were not considered part of the team. The practice of tipping is foreign to us and sensitive, and WEx would do well to achieve better clarity for all. The hotels in Paro and Thimpu were both great, and the staff were wonderful. Thank you again for a truly wonderful adventure. We are already talking about our next one!

We have joined a group tour organized by this local travel specialist for Dagala Thousand Lakes trip in 2019. It was one of the most scenic treks that I have ever been to. All along the way you will be greeted by towering Himalayas like Mountain Jumolhari, Kanchenjunga, Tsheringma and on occasion you may see Mount Everest as well. I took this trek on end of May when the wild flower was in bloom. The trek also gives you a glimpse of many glacial lakes. We had a wonderful trekking experience with the agency. Thank you.
