Long bus journey but worth it. Major sights visited in Istanbul city.
Gallipolli and Troy well worth visit,very interesting,hard to imagine human cost of war.Trenches still visable. Lots of archaeology at Troy and replica of wooden horse to go in. Good photo opportunities. Ephesus with ancient streets,roman toilets,columns,mosaics and carving of menorah. Amazing amphitheatre at Parmakeele,The Thermal Springs. Lots of people but lots of space. White rocks fab,water not warm,skin felt refreshed after dip. Hotels used were high quality. Breakfasts delicious. Time to visit museum shops and time for coffee break.
Guide allowed plenty of toilet stops.
The Greek Island wanderer through the Cyclades was fantastic- the leader was flexible and positive all the way through - he really looked after our group. I can’t wait to do another trip with Explore
Loved the tour & our tour leader (Marty) was fantastic. We enjoyed every part of this tour from the history, the relics, museums, guided tours. The Monasteries of Meteora & the small town of Kalampaka were something else & the amazing day trips from the beautiful islands where we swam from the boat & from the gorgeous beaches was yet another highlight. This tour went way beyond our expectations & I would highly recommend.

The trip was wonderful! We were impressed by the way the trip was planned. Great hotels and service by the representatives we dealt with. Our transportation vehicles and drivers were all very nice and had prompt pickups. Very thorough explanations of how things will work when we arrived in Athens.
This was an amazing adventure, it was like camping on a yacht. Beautiful water, interestung sites/ ports, great people on our crew, lots of food on board for Breakfast & lunch.
Overall it was an amazing experience combining the exploration of several beautiful Greek islands with the excitement of travelling on a yacht . The guests on board all worked together well to help sail the yacht under the careful eye and patient tuition of Captain Phil
We got so much more out of it than what we expected for such good value. Matt is a very intelligent, helpful, professional and diplomatic tour leader and we wish him well for any of his future plans. The coach driver Babios was superb as was the coach.
