An unbelievably great experience traveling in Vietnam. We were met at the airport by their english speaking guide. Over the next two weeks we had a great visit. Travel was by bus, ship and airplane around the country. The bus drivers were great. Guides were personable and knew the area. We had multiple included meals and they all were great. We saw Vietnam from Hanoi to the Mekong Delta. Overall a trip of a lifetime.

More than a simple trip, our fifteen days in Nepal and Tibet were an unforgettable experience and a wonderful discovery. A very big thank you goes to this local tour operator and its Managing Director, Mr. Kaum Bahadur Subedi, who provided us with expert drivers (absolutely essential on the roads of Nepal) and guides with great expertise and experience. I want to especially mention Rem Raj Gurung who introduced us to the wonderful temples of Kathmandu, now all restored after the 2015 earthquake. A very useful exercise for me also who had visited those temples in the past. Even more exciting was traveling across the Tibetan plateau. We entered from the border with Nepal - which in itself is an adventure - and we traveled the long way that leads to Lasha, crossing a powerful and unforgettable landscape. Along the plateau we had the Himalayas on the right with its snowy peaks (we also went to admire the north face of Everest with a half-day detour) and on the left another long chain of mountains that outlined a landscape that is hard to find the words to describe. And then the unforgettable discovery for me, thanks to the guide that Mr Kaum made available to us for Tibet, a profound expert on the religiosity of the Tibetans. The discovery of a people who still live in a deep connection with their past and traditions: in religion, in clothing, in language. But I also found a genuine willingness towards foreigners. And we were among the few Westerners to visit the country. We also have a beautiful memory of Lasha, a modern city that lives with a past whose strength still seems very alive.

I joined the Heritage of Rajasthan trip with my cousin, and we were both impressed with how much heart and detail was put into every day of the journey. It didn’t feel rushed or overly “touristy.” We had time to enjoy each city—walk through narrow alleys, talk to local artisans, sip masala chai on rooftops. That’s what made it memorable. Pushkar, in particular, was a highlight for me. Watching the rituals at the lake in the evening made me feel like I was witnessing something truly timeless. Jodhpur’s fort was massive and majestic, and Jaipur’s Amber Fort was like a real-life movie set. Udaipur felt like the opposite, serene and romantic. I still can’t believe I had dinner overlooking the lake with palace lights glowing in the background. Our driver was fantastic, and our guide brought the history alive without being boring or overwhelming. He was also really approachable and made sure everyone in the group felt included. One of the best parts was the group itself—it was a good mix of people from different backgrounds, and we all got along really well. It added another layer to the trip. This wasn’t just a checklist of places—it was an experience that made me feel connected to the history, art, and people of Rajasthan.

Without the dust in Rajastan India is indeed a great destination not only for Westerners but anyone interested in East Indian cultures and traditions. Food was good but a little too salty for my tastebuds. In southern India food not as salty but also very good. I plan at some later time to revisit India but be a little more prepared to deal with the dust and the northern weather in January.
