Discover Jordan in a week during this private tour. Starting from Amman, the capita city, this trip will take you to Jerash, Mt Nebo, Petra and Wadi Rum before coming to an end in the Dead Sea.

Enjoy strolling in downtown Amman and see the ruins of the citadel located at the centre of the city. Drive to Mt Nebo, the place from where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. Discover the lost city of Petra, whose history goes back by more than two millennia, and explore the lunar landscape of Wadi Rum in an off-road vehicle.

End your trip with a relaxing stay at a Dead Sea hotel. This trip starts and ends in Amman Airport. Traveling with you during this trip will be your English-speaking driver. You will meet local tour guides in Jerash, Petra and Wadi Rum. For more details, please scroll down.

day 1 - Amman Airport arrival and transfer to hotel

Ahlan Wa Sahlan, welcome to Jordan! Meet our representative on landing in Queen Alia International Airport, outside the immigration area, and transfer to your hotel in the city. It takes around 45 minutes from the airport to reach your hotel. You are free for the rest of the day after checking in.

Please note that the hotel check-in time is 15:00.

day 2 - Amman – Jerash – Ajloun Castle – Amman city tour

One hour north of Amman is Jerash, your first destination of the day. This city is the best surviving example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. See the spectacular forum, colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas.

Continue to Ajloun Castle, a 12th century Islamic fortification built by the famous Islamic leader Salah al-Din, who is known in the West as Saladin. Then drive back to the capital city to visit the Amman Citadel with the remains of the Umayyad Palace and the Hercules Temple.

The Jordan Archaeological Museum, located in the citadel, has an excellent collection of artefacts dating from prehistoric times to the 15th century. In downtown Amman, you will get the chance to see the second century Roman theatre and wander around traditional souks that sell a variety of goods.

Drive back to your hotel late in the afternoon. You are free for the rest of the day.

day 3 - Amman – Mt Nebo – Madaba – King’s Way – Shobak Castle

Drive south of the city to Mt Nebo, the place from where Prophet Moses gazed at the Promised Land before he died. Continue to Madaba, a small town known for its mosaic dating back to the early Christian era.

This sixth century mosaic, which is also known as the Madaba Map, is part of the floor mosaic of St George’s Church. Next on the itinerary is the nearby archaeological park, an open-air museum whose entrance is marked by the oldest mosaic in Jordan, dating back to first-century BC.

Then drive along the ancient caravan route known as the Kings Highway as you head for Shobak, home to an ancient crusader castle perched on the side of a rocky, conical mountain.

Your day comes to an end on reaching Wadi Musa, the town closest to the archaeological site of Petra. Check into your hotel on arrival.

day 4 - Explore Petra and transfer to Wadi Rum camp

It is time to explore the biggest attraction in Jordan, the lost city of Petra. This city first came to existence in the sixth century BC and the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area, are said to have laid the foundation of a commercial empire that went on to become Syria.

Start your day early in the morning. Walk through the Siq, the canyon that acts as an entrance to the city, and see the Treasury, the most beautiful monument in Petra, on the other side. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle.

You will get some free time to explore the area on your own before a 90-minute transfer takes you to to your campsite in Wadi Rum. Enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner before going to bed.

day 5 - Explore Wadi Rum & transfer to the Dead Sea via Aqaba

A three-hour jeep ride through Wadi Rum awaits you after breakfast. Explore the area, see rugged mountains, canyons, sand dunes and rock inscriptions that date back to Thamudic and Nabatean periods.

Wadi Rum, also known as the 'valley of the moon', is a Unesco World Heritage site. A vast, eerily silent landscape of ancient riverbeds and dunes, Wadi Rum is the largest desert in Jordan and among its most popular highlights.

We will transfer you to Aqaba after you are done exploring the desert. The journey takes around 45 minutes. Drive around the city and see the Aqaba Castle, built by the Crusaders in the 12th century. Also see the House of Sharif Hussein Bin Ali as well as the ruins of Ayla.

You will get some free time to shop in souks before we transfer you to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Check into your hotel by the sea on arrival. The journey from Aqaba to the Dead Sea takes around four hours.

day 6 - Free day at Dead Sea hotel

You are free to explore the Dead Sea area on your own today. Apply a mud pack on your skin, relax on the beach and float like a cork on the salty waters. If you want some last-minute pampering, head for the spa at the hotel (optional).
