Halong Bay’s legendary limestone cliffs—nearly 2,000 of them—rise dramatically from emerald waters, creating vistas unlike anywhere else in the world. This three-day Halong Bay cruise is designed for experienced travelers eager to soak up the UNESCO-listed scenery while enjoying comfort and adventure. Glide through the bay aboard a classic junk boat, pausing to kayak into hidden lagoons, swim in sheltered coves, and explore remarkable islets that evoke the spirit of Southeast Asia’s most beautiful coastlines.
Onboard, relax with a Vietnamese cooking class as the sun sets, or simply take in the majestic views from the deck. The tour balances guided exploration with the freedom to participate in activities at your own pace, perfect for those who appreciate both cultural insight and relaxation. The cruise’s unique selling point is its seamless blend of traditional Vietnamese hospitality and active experiences, offering not just sightseeing but a deep connection to the natural and culinary wonders of Halong Bay. If you’re seeking a tour package that delivers breathtaking landscapes, local flavors, and a touch of adventure, this extended cruise is an unforgettable choice.
This trip is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the history, cuisine and the way of life in the capital cities of Ho Chi Minh, Phnom Penh and Bangkok. The itinerary also allows you to see how people live, work and socialise in rural areas which is what makes this trip so fascinating. During my 14 day visit I was able to learn more about the Vietnam war, the way of life in the Mekong Delta, the actions of the Khmer Rouge (the toughest part of the trip in my opinion) and the history of Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom.
The itinerary also allowed our group some relaxing downtime which involved sunbathing, snorkelling and fishing off Bamboo Island (near to the resort of Sihanoukville, Cambodia).
This trip does involve 2 fairly long trips by bus to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap although we were given a number of comfort breaks which included a stop at Skuon and a chance to hold a live tarantula and sample a fried spider!!

Trafalgar was a good choice for our dream vacation to Japan. Our guide, Her name was , forgive me if I spelt her name incorrectly was wonderful. She was professional, friendly and very patient with her customers. the hotels and bus companies all were quite up to the task. very satisfied with the trip.
I had Sea as my tour guide and she has been by far the best tour guide I have ever had!!!! I’ve been on multiple tours and she was so incredible and lovely, she made the trip so fun with her bright bubbly, funny and kind personality!! She made sure to include everyone and remember things about each person. She was so caring and went above and beyond even after we were done the tour, she helped us organize our transfers to our next destination and made sure we were safe every step of the way. On the tour she was so nice and got so many good photos for us and gave us so much information about Thailand and our itinerary. She was also an amazing friend that we met along the way, she helped when I wasn’t feeling well and got everyone medication when we needed it. She always brought amazing energy to our days and it was so nice to have her as a tour guide. I would love to have her for every tour if I could!!! Thank you so much Sea for everything you did.
I have been working with Chris and his team on behalf of my clients for the past one year.
In a nutshell, I couldn't have picked a better partner.
His ability to manage situations (as things are extremely fluid during adventures), remain calm, problem solves and handle updates is beyond exemplary.
Thank you for everything that you do.
What a great holiday, wonderful tour guide (Pheap). Visited different parts of Cambodia, much of which seemed to still be unspoilt by tourism. From the deserted beaches of the south west to the traumatic tales of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge and then the magnificent temples of Angkor Wat and surroundings. The overwhelming memory will however be the Cambodian people, so friendly, smiling and welcoming.
