Enjoy the grandest journey in the land of the Himalayas with our 16-day, guided trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. Your adventure to the base camp begins with a rather scary flight to the mountain airstrip of Lukla, at 2,800m elevation, and passes through the picturesque Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar to reach Gorakshep.
The high point of this journey is the ascent of Kala Patthar (5,500m) from where you can soak up stupendous views of Mount Everest and its surrounding peaks. You will spend most of the trek above the elevation of 3,000 meters in Khumbu and Imja valleys, whose skyline is dominated by the massive peaks of the Eastern Himalayas.
Along the way, you will get the chance to enjoy the culture of the Sherpa people, see ancient monasteries and learn how Lamaistic Buddhism influences the Sherpa life.
