The tour combined the bustle of Tokyo, the culture of Kyoto and the charm of the Northern Akita and coastal region. The food and accommodations were excellent and being able to travel on Bullet Trains, local trains and subways added to the local experience.
Yoko was an excellent CEO, she was knowledgeable, helpful and kept the group organized.

An excellent but too short tour of this surprisingly beautiful country. Outstanding tour leader Mashal and our three drivers delivered five star service on this varied itinerary. I wish that Explore offered a longer version to include both the south and north parts of this incredibly diverse destination. And I would have liked a few more photo stops but I still give this a solid five stars. One of the best Explore tours I’ve taken.

This was a great trip full of wonderful and varied experiences plus a number of highlights including: Bodh Gaya and important Buddhist sites, Varanasi, the Taj Mahal, Shimla and The Golden Temple at Amritsar. Travelling by train proved to be fascinating and a good way to meet people, even if it was not always totally comfortable. Pemba was an excellent tour guide, caring, well organised, knowledgeable and extremely likeable. I would certainly recommend the trip as a good way to explore this part of northern India.
