Welcome to Tokyo! In 1868, the Japanese Emperor moved the national capital from Kyoto to Edo, which was then renamed Tokyo (\"Eastern Capital\"). Many parts of Tokyo were destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, and by the air raids in 1945 during WWII. The city was rebuilt and now offers a wide variety of choices for shopping, entertainment, culture, and dining, along with a variety of green spaces for visitors. Upon arrival at Narita or Haneda International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred by airport shuttle to the tour hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
