Another wonderful trip with World Expeditions. In addition to the expected highlights of Petra, Wadi Rum, snorkelling in the Red Sea and floating in the Dead Sea, the unexpected delights of visiting a local family at Um Qais (and cooking/dining with them), the expansive Roman ruins at Jerash and our extraordinary driver Firas made this trip wonderful. The small additional cost of having a representative meet us at the airport and guide us through immigration was well worth it. The process was very quick and smooth. This was a great itinerary, although an extra day in Petra would be helpful especially when you are battling heat. To have time to actually use the pool at the 'village' hotel would be incredible. We came in around 10-11pm and were out by 7 am the next morning. Also, you really need to deal with the 'extra' activities. We came in early to do the Desert Castles add-on and were told we had to wait to talk to our tour director - who we didn't see until 6 pm that evening when it was too late. (when we asked about it before going we were told to talk to our tour director when we got there)

The whole trip was great. Our guide in Egypt was the best I have ever had. Henry was very knowledgeable and funny, and always on top of everything. My favorite things - Riding a camel at the pyramids, racing across the desert in the back of pickups at Wadi Rum in Jordan, Staying in a Nubian Village in Egypt, and the resort at the Dead Sea. Loved floating in the Dead Sea and being covered in mud. I skipped the last day tour and stayed at the resort for an all-day spa day. Well worth it!
