Welcome to beautiful Namibia! Home to vibrant cities and rich cultural history. The Namib sand dunes, some of which are 300 metres high and span 32 kilometres (20 mi) long, are the second largest in the world. Explore the Kalahari Desert, a lively wilderness where you can often see antelopes and other animals in the dry valleys. Discover Sossusvlei, which during a good rainy season, the Tsauchab River flows into the pan and creates a haven for birds. Even during the dry season, Oryx, Springbok and Ostrich can be seen feeding off the sparse vegetation along the watercourse. Don’t miss the Sesriem Canyon, where centuries of erosion have incised a narrow gorge about 1 km in length. Wonder in Swakopmund at leisure, much loved by Namibians as a welcome respite from the inland heat. It is also popular amongst visitors for its old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere.

Noel organised a fantastic safari for me which was 6 days in Northern Tanzania visiting Tarangire National park, lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti. I had lots of questions before the trip which Noel was able to answer through phone and email. And then met me before the safari and after the safari. I went solo with the guide/driver and the cook. It was a fantastic experience and I had such a great time. The guide was excellent - keen, enthusiastic and was knew all the different animals and birds. The food was good and the tent/ 4 wheel drive comfortable. The only thing that was not good was the campsite in Serengeti but this was not the tour operator's fault but the Serengeti Park authorities who just do not maintain their campsites.
Would highly recommend booking this tour.

I have spent the last 3 days visiting Abydos & Dendara (1 day) and Luxor (2 days) with my guide Ahmed Haggag Ali.
First of all, I would highly recommend Abydos to anyone (even if it is way out of any route, +3h by car from Luxor). Abydos is truly a special place, thanks to its colorful paintings and design. And Ahmed provided me with all the history and explanations related to this temple. He knows eveything!! He has been able to answer all of my questions so far (and believe me, I have had a lot!) We later had a delicious 'fuul' in a local restaurant (see pic).
Luxor is, of course, a must see if you plan to visit Egypt. I spent one day in the east bank and another in the west bank. The Karnak and Luxor temples on the East bank are fascinating, and the Valley of the Kings in the West bank has beautiful tombs. Of the 3 tombs I visited, Ramses III was my favourite, extremely colorful. If you have the budget, I also recommend the hot air balloon trip, which is just breathtaking.
I will spend 3 more days with my guide Ahmed Haggag Ali to visit Edfu & Kom Ombo, Aswan and Abu Simbel, and I am very much looking forward to it!
Welcome to beautiful Namibia! Drive through its mesmerizing landscapes and explore this country at your own pace. Visit the German-style buildings in Windhoek, which lend a singular charm to the city, including the historic seat of government also known as the ‘Tintenpalast’, which means “palace of ink” in German. Pass by Rehoboth like many towns in Namibia, was once a missionary station. Explore Sossusvlei, a dune wonderland, with towering dunes up to 300m high surrounding a huge, dried-up pan. Discover Swakopmund, much loved by Namibians as a welcome respite from the inland heat. It is also popular amongst visitors for its old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere. Discover Waterberg, home to many game species, over 200 bird species, and vegetation which changes dramatically from acacia savannah at the foot of the plateau to lush-green sub-tropical dry woodland with tall trees and grassy plains at the top.
