Overnight in Johannesburg
day 2 - Johannesburg - Kruger National Park
This morning you will embark on an orientation tour of Soweto. SOWETO, an acronym for South Western Township, is home to over 2 million people. Despite living in crowded and chaotic conditions, these citizens share a tangible sense of community, which the ordered, walled, and northern suburbs lack. Drive past the Hector Pieterson Museum and Mandela House before you leave the commercial hub and travel into the Mpumalanga region. Continue through Graskop to Hazyview, just outside Kruger National Park. Dinner will be included in your hotel this evening.
Overnight in Kruger National Park Area
day 3 - Kruger National Park
The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience ranking among the best in Africa. There are approximately 147 mammal species here, including “The Big 5”: lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos (black and white). Spend your day searching for animals from the comfort of your coach as you explore the 20,000 square kilometer park. You might be lucky and spot Africa’s ‘Big Five’ — experience the exhilarating feeling of seeing wildlife from a close range! This is a truly unforgettable experience. Dinner will be included at your hotel in the evening.
Overnight in Kruger National Park Area
Note: For their full-day game drive, guests will take a coach for about 45 minutes to get from the Radisson Safari Hotel to Orpen Gate.
Optional: Upgrade to an Open Vehicle Safari (on SIC basis)
A safari in an open vehicle in Kruger National Park is not to be taken lightly. Heading on this experience is a privilege beyond imagination. As one of the most famous game reserves in the world, Kruger is not only vast with a fascinating range of wildlife and birdlife — it is also known for its ever-changing African landscapes. For photographers, Kruger is a dream destination, with no fewer than 147 mammals and over 500 species of birds waiting for the click of your camera. Our qualified, experienced field guides know the terrain and the protocol well, and their skills, combined with the superb visibility afforded by our specially modified safari vehicles, will guarantee a wonderfully wild experience. Kruger is teeming with game, big and small, and you will be as spellbound by the Big Five as the Small Five.

day 6 - Stellenbosch - Cape Town
After breakfast, you will drive back to Cape Town to enjoy a half-day orientation tour of the city. You will see iconic buildings, snatches of history, and experience the uniqueness of the city. Drive past the country’s oldest building, the Castle, and a short distance away, the Company Gardens, both historically fascinating and well conserved. Our drive will continue past the Parliament Buildings, City Hall, and the Slave Lodge. You will sense the depth of history via their distinctive architecture. Colonial will change to colourful, as you move up the cobblestoned hills to the Malay Quarter, and marvel over the ice-cream colors of the quaint Bo-Kaap homes. Return to the hotel, or, if the weather is suitable, you may participate in one of the optional tours below.
Overnight in Cape Town
Optional: Table Mountain and City Day tour with Ticket included
With your ticket, take a cable car up to the summit of the legendary Table Mountain from where you may see the end of the world, including the city and surrounding layout of this southernmost tip of Africa.
Optional: Robben Island Boat Ticket with transfers
Board your boat cruise at the Waterfront and head towards the famous Robben Island. A cruel home of our Nelson Mandela for so many years, this is a highly charged emotional visit as you visit this site of suffering and realize how far South Africa has come since those days. For nearly 400 years, Robben Island, about 12 kilometers from Cape Town, was a place of exile and imprisonment where rulers sent those who they considered being outcasts and troublemakers. Since 1997, Robben Island has been a museum acting as a focal point of South African heritage.
day 7 - Cape Town
Spend your day at leisure or perhaps take the following optional full-day Peninsula Tour. In the evening, get ready for your farewell dinner at the Gold Restaurant with an Interactive drumming activity.
Overnight in Cape Town
Optional: White Shark Encounter
Great White Sharks… imposing in size, their graceful beauty has perfectly adapted to their environment. Their powerful predatory behavior and the mysteries surrounding this spectacular creature will beckon you to come closer and closer. Experience the White Shark in its natural environment above or underwater. And for the less courageous, this boat offers a large viewing platform on top and great space on the main deck for seating and viewing. After a full security briefing, you will make your way to the boat waiting to take you out to the world-famous Shark Alley, off the coast of Gansbaai. Upon anchoring at Shark Alley, you will get the chance to observe all of its inhabitants, from its seals and various birdlife to Southern Right Whales visiting the waters in season (July to November), and of course the Great White Shark. A wetsuit and a diving mask will be provided so you can share the waters with the awesome creatures from the safety of a cage, which is attached to the boat and floats right next to it. The time you spend in the cage will be between 10 to 30 minutes as it depends on the weather and the number of spotted sharks. No diving experience is required for this tour.
Optional: Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour
On this full-day tour, you will be able to explore the dramatic coastline of the Cape Peninsula, including a visit to Boulders Beach penguin colony and Cape Point Nature Reserve (entrance fees not included).
