This 3-day safari, which specifically includes the Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire National Park, has been designed to offer a short but intense overview of the Northern Circuit of Tanzania to those who feel that they are short on time and wish to experience a safari within 3 days / 2 nights.
This unforgettable safari tour will take you to the Ngorongoro Crater, featuring one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa. Here you will witness an amazing spectacle of African wildlife – inside a self-contained world teeming with animals. Your tour will also take you to the Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a shallow but huge soda lake, at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.
Finally, your safari tour will also take you to the Tarangire National Park, which features some of the greatest concentration of game in Tanzania – second only to the Ngorongoro Crater – but less crowded and unspoiled – possessing a wild beauty. The size of the selected Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks, make them a perfect choice for shorter safaris. You will experience the excitement of game viewing in three of the most spectacular national game parks in Tanzania.

Migration tracking in Serengeti safari will be main focuses on tracking the migration .A little after this, in late November and December, the herds of the wildebeest migration arrive on the short-grass plains of the Serengeti. These are south and east of Seronera, around Ndutu and include the north of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dispersed across these plains, wildebeest and zebra are everywhere – feeding on the fresh, nutritious grasses. They stay here through January, February and March, with most wildebeest calves born in a short window around February. Gradually they spread west across these plains, then around April they start their great migration north.
May the Serengeti’s wildebeest all seem to be moving north, migrating to seek fresh grazing and water. The area around Moru Kopjes and west of Seronera is then hectic with a series of moving columns, often containing hundreds of thousands of animals – joined by many zebra, and a scattering of Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles.
Some of the migration then head due north of Seronera, but most are usually further west. Around June the wildebeest migration is often halted on the south side of the Grumeti River, which has some channels which block or slow their migration north. The wildebeest then congregate there, in the Western Corridor, often building up to a high density before crossing the river. The river here is normally a series of pools and channels, but it’s not continuous – and so whilst they always represent an annual feast for the Grumeti River’s large crocodiles, these aren’t usually quite as spectacular as the crossings of the Mara River, further north.
The wildebeest migration continues moving northwards during July and August, often spreading out across a broad front: some heading through Grumeti Reserve and Ikorongo, others north through the heart of the Serengeti National Park.

The Lemosho Route is perhaps the most scenic Kilimanjaro route, from the first day to the last. The trail begins north of Shira, also on the western side of the mountain. But unlike the Shira Route, where for the first day you walk on a wide 4 WD road, Lemosho is a narrow wilderness trail right from the beginning, passing through pristine and remote rainforest with good chances of seeing wildlife. It then crosses the Shira Plateau before joining the Machame Route near the Lava Tower.
Luckily, despite its growing popularity, especially for second time Kilimanjaro climbers, Lemosho sees a very low number of people and truly offers and incredible adventure on the highest peak in Africa, and the highest free standing mountain in the world.
Maasai Wanderings is looking very much forward to providing you with a climb of a lifetime. No previous mountaineering experience is required for this trip.
Explore Morocco's vibrant labyrinth and ever-changing scenery with a small group of solo-ish travellers. From the bustling medinas to the seaside villages and expansive Sahara, you'll discover the beauty of a fascinating culture, forging new friends along the way. Across 16 epic days, you'll be thrust into the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and Fes, be swept away by the vastness of the desert (on a camel’s back no less) and welcomed into the homes and hearts of Amazigh locals. Go surfing in Taghazout, wander through blue-washed walls in Chefchaouen, learn about sacred sites in Moulay Idriss and rub shoulders with locals in Ait Benhaddou. On this trip, you'll get a taste for adventure, nature, culture and culinary wonder and return home with more than just a full camera roll.

In June, we did the Toubkal Circuit, culminating in climbing Mt Toubkal, with your company. We had a fantastic time, led by Abdullah Agafay, a fantastic guide. He was a fount of information about Berber culture and wonderfully skilled both socially and technically at leading our trek. And when one of our group could not continue, he immediately organized transport back to Imlil. Chef Norden produced EVERY DAY fantastic meals that featured fresh fruits and vegetables as well as traditional Berber dishes. Samir and Abdulraman proved steady companions, springing into action to meet whatever need arose. I cannot recommend your company highly enough!
Our Kilimanjaro climb happened on 1st January, 2025 was an experience of a lifetime. The guides including Gabriel were highly professional and ensured we were comfortable every step of the way. The porters and cooks were fantastic, making sure we had delicious meals and enough rest. Their expertise made the summit possible! 100% recommend!
