South East Asia Wildlife Trips

Fantastic trip! As with most trips, a good guide makes all the difference and Charles was one of the best we've had. He's on top of everything, is very knowledgeable about the culture, history and wildlife of Madagascar. We traveled at the end of August and it is quite chilly and sometimes rainy in the highlands, so bring warm clothes! The second half of the trip was in the lowlands and was much warmer, we were wearing t-shirts and shorts and spending time in the pool.

I had an amazing time in both countries and even got to see the big 5 !! The tour guides I had in both Kenya and Tanzania were both incredible, they made sure we were having fun and tried their best to get us to see what we wanted to see! Big shoutout to both Haron and JB. Thank you for an amazing experience can’t wait to come back 😊

Fantastic trip! Charles was among the best guides we have ever had - knowledgable about the culture and wildlife, organized, a great communicator, and incredibly patient. We saw 18 different lemur species! Our group of 10 was fun and easy-going. Madagascar is a beautiful country with fascinating history and culture. In the winter months (June, July, August), bring warm layers! We were happy to have rain pants and rain jackets. A headlamp or flashlight and hiking boots are musts.

My experience with Explore was the best I could ever have. From the beginning of the organisation till the last day of the trip it was excellent. It was my first trip with Explore, but it will definitely not my last one. The group was great, 10 people, 2 couples, 6 solo travellers. Our guide Juan Carlos was excellent, he gave us a feeling of being a family , he knows everything about animals, plants , Costa Rica. He was always there for all needs. I would rate 5 Star for this Local Company We had the absolute privilege of booking a safari with Kilisa Tours & Safari, and I can honestly say their service is nothing short of 5-star excellence. From the very first communication to the final day of our trip, the entire experience was handled with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. Our guide was incredibly skilled at spotting wildlife and shared insightful knowledge about the animals, landscapes, and cultures. Every game drive was exciting and perfectly paced, and the accommodations selected by Kilisa Tours were comfortable and well-suited to the authentic safari experience. I would recommend this service to anyone as they deliver not only on organization and expertise but also on creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Another wonderful trip with Explore! Our guide Rux was exceptional in every way and fitted in with group wonderfully. She's extremely knowledgeable and incredibly thoughtful and one of the best guides we've ever had! Thank you also to our wonderful driver Danil who kept us safe and tried to dodge some of the frustrating traffic. All the accommodation is well placed, clean and comfortable. If you're a light sleeper I recommend taking earplugs and an eye mask, especially for the home stay. The owners of the home stay are a lovely couple who welcome you into their home and really appreciate it if you try to speak Romanian. The trek is quite steep in places and a lot of people made use of the provided walking poles, the views of the surrounding area and the meadows are well worth the hard work. The history of this beautiful country is fascinating and if you're into architecture, you won't be disappointed! We were lucky to see two bears, one as we got to the hide and another whilst we were in there. TOP TIP... if you're using a camera find out how to turn the focus light off as bears are incredibly sensitive and seeing these can startle them meaning that you can't take photos. As vegetarians we were well catered for and didn't miss out on any of the gorgeous meals. Thank you to all of the group members who bonded really quickly on such a short trip and really made the holiday.
