South East Asia Solo Trips and Holidays

We were pleasantly surprised with each day's itinerary. Our trip director, Sharon Toomen, was wonderful. She went above and beyond to make sure each one of us was having a wonderful time.

I booked this trip very last minute with less than a week before the departure date and Explore were as always great in sorting out my flights and the arrangements. This trip was a great mix of cities and walking in the lovely countryside through some idyllic little villages. The cities were all different and absolutely beautiful and all the hotels so well situated for walking to all main sights. Craig our tour guide did an excellent job of making sure everything was well organised and thus the arrangements all ran like clockwork. Craig went the extra mile in showing us things that were not on the itinerary and really made the trip so enjoyable. He gave us a wealth of information on the history, culture and also the ways of life in the area where his house is. His passion and great humour made it so much more interesting. I especially loved all the little Spanish villages we visited on the walking days and eating delicious food with the locals in the village restaurants. All in all a really great trip once again from Explore 👍

The itinerary was well planned with a good variety of different activities and options. We had full days without being overloaded and we liked the balance of the time we could have to ourselves versus the organised activities and tours. Our tour guide, Sharon, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, organised and we could not commend her highly enough.

I would skip Pisa. There was a very good mix of city and country. Great food, great views. I liked the included dinners and getting mixed up with different people each time. Skipping to the head of the lines was fabulous. The auto grills were great for quick stops. The hotels were great and within walking distance to many things. The longer bus rides were ok because I took naps and the scenery was good. I did think it was a bit rushed at times but how else do you see the best of Italy in 11 days?

The trip was above my expectations. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The family was always helpful, happy to help and provide whatever was needed. The leader was impeccable! Friendly, funny, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. The group and the weather (early June) also made this trip amazing. The pasta/mozarella workshop and the pizza making demonstrations are very much worth it. Ohh and the meals were delicious!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stroll across Northern Spain. This iconic pilgrim path was brought alive by our wonderful tour guide Jessica who’s local knowledge, people skills and instinctive warm and kind ways presented the perfect glue that held together one of the nicest bunches of people that we have had the privilege of spending a perfect time with.
