The Manaslu trek is one of Nepal's best treks. If you have 17 days available for trekking in Nepal, we highly recommend this trek. It is challenging, especially the day of crossing the Larke pass at 5,135 m but if you are in reasonable shape, determined, and able to walk 6 hours a day, you can do this trek. Manaslu is the eighth highest peak in the world, bordering the Gorkha and Manang districts in Nepal. It is just 64km East of the previously popular Annapurna treks. Literally, Manaslu is derived from Sanskrit with manasa means “Mountain of the spirit". The Manaslu region encompasses everything from sub tropical foothills to the arid Trans-Himalaya high pastures bordering Tibet. The Manaslu trek opened only in 1991. Its popularity increased significantly when teahouses become available around 2009. The Manaslu region has no roads or alike and the trekking trails are excellent. This combined with a high variation in altitude starting from around 700 m and getting up to 5,135 m is the reason why the Manaslu trek today is preferred over the Annapurna trek. After a 6 hours bus ride from Kathmandu, the trek begins Arughat. En-route the trek, you will not only see spectacular mountain scenery but can also visit several monasteries. If you have 19 days available, you will not regret choosing this trek. If you are in doubt as to physical fitness we highly recommend adding a porter. 1 porter can carry up to 30 kgs and can thus be shared between 2 people. Awesome trip with Milan in Manaslu

All in all Nest adventure did a good job. you get all information you need in advance and the price is also nice ;). And Milan our Guide did also a perfect Job. He is a young, motivated funny guide who knows alot about the manaslu area. He is also very helpful when it comes to health problems.I got knee problems after 4 or 5 days and Milan care about me very well. Many thanks to you man. So all in all i really recommend the Manaslu circle trek, so beautiful and still not to crowded as Annapurna or everest. I would like to thank Sandip, Milan and other NEST team for well organising the manaslu trek.

Manaslu trek with NT from NEST

We just finished the Manaslu circuit with NEST and were blown away with their service! So accomodating when meeting in Kathmandu with Sandeep and they all are very knowledgeable about the circuit, what you need and what are the expectations. The BEST part of using NEST, were our guide and porter! Count yourself lucky if you get to have NT as your guide and Paban as your porter! NT was so knowledgeable, attentive, kind, caring and went above and beyond on our trek- he was exceptional- we are incredibly grateful for everything he did for us and to ensure our trek was the best ever! He know all the best guesthouses to stay at!! Paban was so hardworking, kind, attentive, fun and went above and beyond our expectations of a porter, such a legend! I would not hesitate to use NEST again in the future!

I did this trek with my gf in May 2018. We landed in Kathmandu and waited 1 more day to organize our permits by the company. All the services were provided by the company as promised. The price was very reasonable comparing to many other agencies.
