The Manaslu trek is one of Nepal's best treks. If you have 17 days available for trekking in Nepal, we highly recommend this trek. It is challenging, especially the day of crossing the Larke pass at 5,135 m but if you are in reasonable shape, determined, and able to walk 6 hours a day, you can do this trek. Manaslu is the eighth highest peak in the world, bordering the Gorkha and Manang districts in Nepal. It is just 64km East of the previously popular Annapurna treks. Literally, Manaslu is derived from Sanskrit with manasa means “Mountain of the spirit". The Manaslu region encompasses everything from sub tropical foothills to the arid Trans-Himalaya high pastures bordering Tibet. The Manaslu trek opened only in 1991. Its popularity increased significantly when teahouses become available around 2009. The Manaslu region has no roads or alike and the trekking trails are excellent. This combined with a high variation in altitude starting from around 700 m and getting up to 5,135 m is the reason why the Manaslu trek today is preferred over the Annapurna trek. After a 6 hours bus ride from Kathmandu, the trek begins Arughat. En-route the trek, you will not only see spectacular mountain scenery but can also visit several monasteries. If you have 19 days available, you will not regret choosing this trek. If you are in doubt as to physical fitness we highly recommend adding a porter. 1 porter can carry up to 30 kgs and can thus be shared between 2 people. Best Hiking Ever

Together with my two buddies and our guide Pasang, I undertook a 14-day hike. I can't wait for another trip with this local travel specialist because it was such a lovely experience. Despite being a vegan, I had zero issues eating while hiking. My diet was readily accommodated by the personnel, and they made sure I was never served anything that wasn't vegan. Our group finished a day or two early than expected because we traveled more quickly than was anticipated. To ensure that everyone was content and comfortable, Pasang discussed our pace and the distance we would cover each day. From the moment we arrived at KTM to the moment we left, Pasang took care of everything and was very helpful in making recommendations for what to do with our spare time. I will recommend this agency to everyone who wants to travel to Nepal because this was an incredible experience. I'm grateful for the wonderful experience.

We like to recommend Nepal Footprint Trek for Nepal trekking and tours. This team is amazing and provides you brilliant service all time. We have been with them for Manaslu trek in 2019 which was just great trek. We had booked this trip with the friends’ recommendation. No complain at all. They provide us very warm sleeping bags and comfortable walking poles. Our guide was very informative and much closed with local people on the trek. Provided delicious meal and give us extra sight tours on the side trail. Only the road l likes to suggest taking a private jeep rather than local bus.

Manaslu Circuit - Trip of Life time

We started our trip from Sotikhola though the jeep can go up to Machhakhola. we didn't expect good Lodges in this trip but our tour operator provided us majority of the stay attached room with comfortable bed. Food was yummy. took jeep from Dharapani as we didn't want to walk along the road.
