Manaslu trek Tours in April 2026

Everything from start to finish was completely flawless! Our whole team were all incredibly friendly and always happy to answer any questions we had. They also always made us all feel safe and comfortable! The tents were so nice and spacious with a very cosy sleeping bag! The food was always divine and featured some seriously impressive dishes such as cake or pizza! (I don’t know how this is possible at altitude) Lastly our lead guide Sam-de was a true and utter legend! He was always very professional and respectful with the team and with us always so professional and smiling all the way! He was great at allowing us the opportunity to interact with locals when we passed through villages. He was also great at telling us about the history and fun facts of the area and had a very keen eye for all the wildlife! Overall I would not change a single thing about this trip! Every day was filled with excitement, learning and beauty.

Another great trek from World Expeditions. The trip took us up through diverse and fascinating changes in scenery and cultural backgrounds. Highlights were: the “small change in itinerary” to do a side trip up to Pung Gyen Gompa (with a glacial valley surrounded by giant peaks all to ourselves for the night); a hard day over Larke La but spectacularly views to ease the pain; and the many friendly interactions with the locals giving insight into lives that are very different to mine. Samde ably led the trek and shared his great passion for people and environment of Nepal. Many thanks to guides Ram, Min and Sabin for looking after us, Sirdar Nima for keeping everything running smoothly, Bhaktar and the cook boys for performing miracles daily and the porters for doing difficult job with smiles on their faces. I can’t wait to come back.

The porters, including Prakash/Bhote ( as they called) and Anil. Kumar, went above and beyond their duties. Not only did they shoulder the weight of our bulky bags throughout the trek, but they also offered invaluable assistance on challenging terrains, ensuring our safety and comfort. Their warm demeanor and genuine Nepali hospitality enriched our journey, making it truly memorable. Brilliant trek. Highly recommended. Our guide, Samde Sherpa was excellent - very knowledgeable, calm and inspired a great deal of confidence. Food was excellent. Highlight was camping at Punyeng Gompa - off itinerary but at our guide’s recommendation. Scenery was breathtaking. Our guide was able to engage us with local people along the way. We did the Manaslu circuit and it was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend this hike enough. You see everything from emerald glacier rivers from daring suspension bridges, to lush green forests full of life (and monkeys), to absolutely breathtaking views of mountains while you feel like you’re on top of the world, and experience in depth culture and traditions. The only things that beat the views are all the incredible people along the way!

We had an amazing time with Pasang Sherpa, our trip leader, who has a wealth of knowledge about the Manaslu Tibetan settlement in the hidden kingdom of Nepal. The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a challenging and rewarding journey around the world's eighth highest mountain, Manaslu. It offers breathtaking views of Himalayan peaks, diverse landscapes, rich culture, and wildlife. The trek usually takes 11 to 14 days and requires a special permit. The highest point is Larkya La Pass, which stands at 5,106 meters. The best time to embark on this trek is during spring and autumn, when temperatures are moderate, the skies are clear, and there is less rainfall. The winter and monsoon seasons present more challenges and risks.
