Reviews of our Glasgow Tours for October
Feedback from guests whose tour started in/around Glasgow during October.
First and foremost, the Guide and narration was superior. The information shared was interesting and supported sometimes with slide shows. Hotels were good and food was good. My only constructive criticism is that, due to allowing for two nights in each hotel which was nice, we didn't really "see" The Isle of Skye, Of the whole large island with charming villages and lots of coast line, we only got a peep and a horrible lunch, if you want to call it that. Please be sure to indicate that the potty stop on the Isle of Skye is just that. All the other locations visited had enough time to soak in the area. I absolutely loved the Sheep Farm. Wonderful!!!
Fantastic itinerary, only comment was that some selection of destinations was limited in time. Most notably the Isle of Sky- definitely needed more time to explore! Tour guide Michelle W. was Fantastic!
This was an excellent tour and our tour director Matty was fantastic . My only issue were the beds at the Delta and Craiglynne were so hard I couldn’t sleep on them. We had to get multiple toppers to survive the nights. Matty was very knowledgeable and so helpful. What they covered in 6 days was great and the optional experiences were very fitting.
Trip was very well planned and enabled a taste of many sights and areas of Scotland. Tour Director was excellent! Very knowledgeable and shared much history and many stories pertaining to each area. Would highly recommend!
This was our second tour with Trafalgar. We had a great itinerary! We saw/did quite a lot stops and views. As we traveled from Edinburgh to St. Andrew's our tour director was very informative about the history of the area. At various stops, he shared Scottish snacks like teacakes and soda with all of us! From St. Andrew's we went into the Highlands where we told to keep an eye out of some "hairy coos", aka hairy cows. We stopped at quite a few castles and historical sites along the was as we traveled through Scotland up to the Isle of Skye through Glencoe to seek out Nessie in Loch Ness, then traveled along to Loch Lomond and finishing our tour in Glasgow! The meals with and the Laird were fun and entertaining! The haggis at was very good! As was the dinner with the Laird and his Lady, from soup to dessert everything was very good! Six days flew by very quickly but thanks to our tour director and our driver, they made it a wonderful trip!! Even the weather was pretty amazing!
Very active/on the go. You’ll see quite a bit so don’t expect this to be at leisure. Tour guide was incredible. Overall a great trip if you’re wanting to see a great deal of Scotland in a short amount of time.
