La Gomera is a lovely unspoilt island and it was great to walk in the variety of landscapes from the Cloud Forest in the mountainous centre, through Woods and the drier landscapes at the coast. We had a fantastic trip to Egypt. I am a single mum with a 10 and 12 year old. We were in a very small group with just one other family and we had a brilliant time. Mohammed, the group leader was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and fun and made everything run smoothly, even the bits that didn’t (don’t expect the train to be on time, however flashy the new station). He was fantastic with the kids and generous with his experience of all aspects of Egyptian life. The trip is pretty full on but there is downtime built in. We love Egypt and will definitely go back. We’ll also definitely do another holiday with explore. For me, being on my own with the kids, the group meant I got some downtime and everything being so well organised meant I felt like I got a holiday as well! As an added bonus it was no more expensive to have two rooms at the hotels! Would totally recommend.

The Dolomites are a beautiful part of the world and this trip didn't disappoint!!! From airport pick up to drop off, I felt in safe hands. Our hotel was perfectly placed near the centre of town and only a short distance from the bus station. Food at the hotel was delicious and we had 5 courses every night, just what you need to fuel a good hike! Our walks gave us the opportunity to take in the stunning views of the mountains and lakes. Around every corner was another WOW!!!! We tackled a range of terrain from woodland and meadow to the rocky paths around the Tre Cime. Nigel, our guide, was fab. He made sure we all got on and off buses, offered alternatives so people could tailor the walks to their ability and was very knowledgeable about the region & it's history. Best of all, he kept us entertained with myths & legends about dwarves, princesses and of course marmots!!! Thanks Nigel & Explore! for a fantastic holiday!

Super holiday! You need to be pretty fit to handle all of the hikes as they are long and sometimes difficult terrain. However the scenery is amazing and I really enjoyed the animal life too. The hotel is literally family-run which has a nice feel. The rooms can be chilly until the heating comes on in the evening (my trip was in October). The food is hearty and in great volume. I would have preferred to eat a bit earlier in the evenings. Excellent guide - he was helpful and knowledgeable throughout.
