The best time to visit Egypt is during the cooler months between March and May and September and October. Egyptian summers (June to August) get sizzling hot, making sightseeing a sweaty, exhausting ordeal. Outside the scorching summer season, Egypt generally enjoys pleasant weather, with warm sunny days and crisp nights.

The coolest months of November to February are peak tourism season while December and January get especially busy. Many travelers prefer the months of September-October or March-April, which bring lower prices and fewer crowds.

Autumn in Egypt – September to November

Autumn in Egypt is a great time to enjoy water sports like snorkeling and scuba diving. 

In Egypt, autumn runs from September to November. However, most of the country remains sweltering hot during September, making it a great month to snorkel or scuba dive in the Red Sea, but not much else. By October, the country cools down enough for the season’s first tourists to arrive. Things don’t start to get busy until November.
