Romania Tours in November 2025

Last month I returned from a 10 day tour in Romania. The itinerary was perfect, covering the highlights of Romania with hotels in the city center. We started the tour with a private transfer from the airport to Bucharest city center. The next day, we went to Transylvania crossing the superb Carpathian Mountains continue with Bukovina and Iasi. Our tour guide Gelu give us his entire attention coming every time with new and exciting details about Romanian history.

Until very end we didnt know if we will have a holiday or not because of the pandemic. Had an absolutely amazing time with Cristi. He had so much knowledge to share with us and I hope to come back to visit the Danube Delta.

This was a great trip with lots of gentle hiking in incredible scenery. The guesthouse is amazing with great food, beautiful views and a wonderful passionate owner who also accompanied us on some excursions. Magura is a beautiful, remote, rural and peaceful village. It is like going back in time. Go now before things change!

I think my only complaint was that a week didn't seem like long enough. The scenery was absolutely stunning, the food delicious (and plenty of it) and the walks difficult enough to be challenging without breaking us.

This was a brilliant trip, the scenery was beautiful, the group leader was full of good stories, the accommodation was gorgeous, the food was delicious and the hosts were extremely welcoming.

Our guide was a delightful young man who loved his country and delighted in showing it to others. He did an excellent job in sometimes trying circumstances. The Romanian countryside was beautiful and the walks varied, two of them were outstanding. Our hosts in the Pensions were welcoming and generous with the Polinka. The home cooked meals were fabulous. Not a trip for the pernickety, but a great adventure if you a happy to go with the flow.
