On the first day, our tour guide will receive you at the airport. Today, you have the opportunity to explore the capital of Romania, Bucharest. Depending on your arrival hour, you will take a long walking tour on the streets of Bucharest, visit some of the attractions in town or just do a sightseeing tour of the city.
day 2 - Explore the medieval city of Sibiu
Bucharest is connected with Sibiu through a beautiful road that crosses the Carpathian Mountains and follows the Olt River. In the afternoon you will have time to explore the medieval city of Sibiu, the former cultural capital of Europe. Wander down its narrow streets and see old buildings.
day 3 - The most beautiful castle in Transylvania
The day will start with a long walking tour in the white citadel of Romania, Alba Carolina, a star-shaped monument located in Alba Iulia that is full of history. This is the place where the unification of Romania was decided after the First World War, on 1 December 1918, which later became the national day of Romania.
Your tour guide will also show you the beautiful Corvin Castle, a medieval, 15th-century castle that remains intact and is one of the most beautiful in Europe.
day 4 - Turda salt mine and Bonțida Bánffy Castle
Dedicate your fourth day in Romania to a natural wonder, the salt mine of Turda, a veritable museum of salt mining. After that, you will travel past Cluj-Napoca and stop in Bontida to visit the ruins of an amazing castle that hosts a music festival every year.

day 6 - Targu Mures
Use this day to explore yet another old city in Romania, Targu Mures. Its interesting buildings and old citadel, renovated a few years ago, will convince you that it deserves a stop here. Take a walk in the city center, observe the mix of Romanian and Hungarian cultures and climb one of the most beautiful streets with stairs in Romania. The fun does not end here, however. Sighisoara is still waiting for you!
day 7 - Transylvania: knights and citadels
Discover some of the most beautiful citadels of Transylvania and take in their medieval atmosphere. Start your day with a visit to the big fortified church in Biertan, a small citadel located in an isolated village.
